Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently mention the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotlessly clean' and 'very clean', indicating a high standard of hygiene and care.

The location is appreciated for its peacefulness and proximity to the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District, though some guests note it can be hard to find without clear signage.

Reviewers find the cottage to be very comfortable, with special mentions of comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere, contributing to a relaxing stay.

Facilities and maintenance are highly rated, with guests satisfied with the well-equipped cottage and the generous welcome hamper. However, the lack of walks from the door and the absence of a freezer in one review slightly affect the score.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is frequently highlighted, especially the tailored welcome baskets. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed.

The owner was very welcoming and explained everything that we need to know about the property and provided a generous basket of food and drink items. After spending our days exploring the Peak district, we looked forward to relaxing in the lovely garden which was so quiet as the property is some distance from the main road. We even had occasional visits from two very lively hares!

David the owner made us feel at home and nothing was too much trouble he even gave us a tour of his rather large gardens can't wait to get back.
