Holiday Cottages in Newquay

Think Newquay and you probably think sun, sand and surfers. While it’s true that this part of Cornwall does boast some of the best beaches in the region and there is a rock-solid surfing community at play in the summer, there’s plenty more to Newquay than hanging ten. However, if surfing is your thing, book one of our nearby

Newquay Cottages

and you could be catching waves all week long or watching the professionals doing their thing during the annual Boardmasters competition – complete with live music!

Although Newquay is famous for its surf-centric attractions, there’s plenty more to see and do, whether you’re travelling with kids or have managed to sneak away with your better half. Book one of our

Newquay Cottages

and you’ll find yourself within easy distance of some superb natural wonders, such as the Gannel Estuary, excellent shopping and the many sites that contribute to Cornwall’s part in the Arthurian legends.

Is Newquay best for Families or Couples?

The short answer is - “both”. If you’ve booked one of our

holiday cottages in Newquay

for your family, you might find that you need a few aces up your sleeve in terms of days out. If the beaches aren’t what gets your kids fired up, you can always nip down to the world-famous Eden Project and get back to nature. For the daredevils in the party, there’s even the opportunity to zipwire across the whole complex! Flambards Village is an excellent day out, packed with rides, slides and exhibits, while Newquay Zoo is the award-winning home to over 130 different species of animal.

We offer a good range of

holiday cottages in Newquay

that are ideal for couples looking for a bit of peace and tranquillity. While you’re there, a visit to St Nectans Glen Waterfall in Tintagel ought to be on the cards. As far as romance goes, it ticks all the right boxes - ivy-entwined trees, a glittering river and a wonderful waterfall. St Michael’s Mount is another spectacular location - while it’s possible to get there by boat, wait until the tide goes out and a path is revealed in the sea bed – a path that was once trod by a legendary giant.

Whatever you’re looking for in your holiday, Newquay has something to offer.

"S20591 is a stunning cottage in a peaceful and beautiful location. The addition of a Christmas tree, complete with lights, was a great touch and enhanced what was already a very welcoming feel. West Pentire is great for dog walking and having the beach so close at hand was a real bonus. We catered for ourselves, so didn’t eat at the Bowgie Inn or CBay Bistro, but I understand that the former does not allow dogs. Only three very small negatives to mention which may perhaps improve the experience for other holiday guests: there were only four teaspoons and no bottle opener in an otherwise very well stocked cutlery drawer and it would have been very useful to have some washing-up liquid. Fortunately we had brought a couple of dishwasher tablets with us, otherwise our dirty pots and pans would have been left until we went shopping on the following day. As I said, these are very minor negatives and did not detract from a wonderful holiday experience. Finally, the beds were extremely comfortable and if we hadn’t had to take the dog out early we would have probably slept in much longer!"

"St Newlyn East is a good spot for accessing the A30 to tour Cornwall. The village is quiet, has a shop and a pub very close by and the local people are friendly. There are some narrow lanes to negotiate but several different routes lead to the village. The cottage is clean, well equipped and cosy and all of the appliances work well. It would be a challenge for anyone finding steps difficult to negotiate. There were toilet and kitchen rolls, washing up liquid and hand wash provided. There was sufficient room for food storage, including a good sized fridge/freezer. The cottage information on the Cornish Horizon website is accurate and the booking process and access information was efficient "

"S73691 was lovely, just what I was looking for. A cosy little bolthole near to the north coast set in a nice little village. I enjoyed several local walks around the farmland, valleys and downs. The local shop had everything I needed as well as great friendly service. The welcome pack was a really nice touch and I enjoyed the tea and biscuits in front of a lovely warm fire most evenings. I would definitely recommend to a friend and return again in the future for a winter holiday. Thank you. P.S. excellent booking service too. Well done to the whole team."

"Lovely comfortable cottage. Very well presented. Ideal base for touring and dog walking. We've stayed in dozens and dozens and dozens of holiday cottages all over the country, and this was one of the very nicest, cleanest and most comfortable of them all. We've seen that a couple of other reviews have commented about firm beds and pillows. Well... Both of us are old and creaky with back problems, but we had a brilliant night's sleep every night. Will definitely be back."

"S73691 is a perfect little cottage - it has everything you need for a relaxing holiday in a lovely village close to the coast and has easy access to major roads for trips further afield. The cottage is really comfortable and is very well-equipped. The excellent secure garden for our dog was greatly appreciated. The local pub is just a few steps away and serves great food. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week and would definitely book again."
