"S22729 is an outstanding place to stay. This is our second visit and the house is top class. Everything you could want from a holiday home. The views over Inverness are stunning. The quality of the property is outstanding. Everything in the property is well looked after and spotlessly clean. There was a lovely welcome pack with wine when we arrived (unfortunately we left ours by accident!) Do be aware that the house is a few miles from the city center and isn't really walkable. You should use a car or nearby bus service. This was no inconvenience for us as we brought our car.Inverness is a beautiful city with lots to do. Lots of places to visit in the area too.I cannot speak highly enough of this property. The nearby walk around Ord Hill is perfect for walking our dog. A nice 2.5 mile loop with great views."

"The cottage was in a great location - only 10 mins walk from a very friendly pub and handy shop. There's loads to do in the area - we were 2 families with 4 kids, so lots of walks nearby and cycle rides were great. Going up to the forest for a wander at the back of the house was lovely, and stunning Glen Etive just a short drive away. It was lovely to come home after a day out and relax in front of the open fire. Having 2 sitting rooms was perfect - one for the kids and their X Box and one for adults and their peace and quiet! We also went to Fort Augustus for a flat and easy cycle ride one day too - beautiful along the canal. Loads to do in the area, and we also squeezed in some ice skating in Inverness. Lovely cottage - very homely, cosy and comfortable."

"The lodge is spacious, well equipped and set in lovely grounds. Would highly recommend as a great base for visiting Inverness and exploring the Highlands. We were welcomed by the Duty Manager and it is reassuring that the estate is staffed during the day if you require additional help / information. We were very lucky with the weather and did not use the wood burner however you have access to a plentiful supply of free logs.Although the broad band was a bit hit and miss this was only a minor inconvenience - and the numerous local supermarkets are a good full back with free high speed wi-fi. Easy access to the footpath along the River Ness - a bonus for my husband who enjoyed a couple of runs, while I went nature spotting."

"What can I say!!On behalf of my family,we were all amazed with S22739. Have never spent time in such a relaxing place. Absolutely perfect! There were seven adults and enough space not to be overcrowded. It was very clean and tidy, with everything we needed. Had lots of ‘chill’ time just relaxing in the Cozy lounge with the log burner going. This would be an amazing place to spend a family Christmas. The view and surroundings are stunning. None of us wanted to leave! Some of us are definitely coming back in the summer. We have such a big family up there and this is ideal when we come to visit. Thank you so much. This place is a gem!!"

"We loved our stay at Viewhill Gate, it was a definite home away from home. As soon as you step inside it has that warm homely feel about the place. The owner Elena couldn’t have been more helpful or pleasant the few times we contacted her just to ask some questions. We’d highly recommend this place, not only for its excellent cleanliness and the owner but also for its location, a 5 minute walk downhill into the Inverness town centre. Perfect for the Loch Ness Marathon and a central base for our holiday afterwards. If we return to Inverness our first stop will be this lovely house again!"
