Inverness, Scotland's Highlands' capital, is a jumping-off point for a wide variety of exciting adventures. You can quickly and easily reach soaring peaks, deep lochs, vast forests, and cliffy coastlines. Notable among these is the beautiful Loch Ness, where many visitors go in search of the mysterious Nessie. Culloden Battlefield, located on Culloden Moor, is close to the city (National Trust). An award-winning exhibit depicts the final major battle fought on British soil, and a stroll across the field is a sombre reminder of the clansmen who lost their lives there. Museums, an art gallery, high-quality theatre and other forms of entertainment, as well as a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants, can all be found within the city limits of Inverness. There is a wide variety of wildlife and marine life in and around the city, including red kites and dolphins that can occasionally be seen from the shore or on trips from the harbour. The city is located on the banks of the River Ness.

Janet had left us a lovely goodie basket thank you Janet it was a most welcome surprise and very useful, she made Trevor a yummy Banana bread, which he loved and what he didnt manage to eat he brought home with us thank you from Trevor. The cottage was well kept and had plenty of bedding, blankets and towels. The kitchen well well equipt with everything you could possibly need for cooking a meal to washing your clothes. Janet and Tommy were a lovely couple who were on hand should we have needed anything. we would definately recommend this cottage to family and friends should they want to visit Inverness and we would return should we decide to do a return visit. Thank you again it was well worth a visit.

As last time the property was sparkling clean, warm and comfortable. The property is close enough to the city centre and shops to be convenient but far enough away to be a nice quiet place to stay. Off road parking is really important to me and there’s room for two cars on the drive. I will definitely book the property again when I next come up to Inverness and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
