“Scrimshaw Cottage is in a brilliant location, close to the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants of Sheringham. For location, it is probably one of the best we have ever stayed in. It is a lovely cottage, perfectly set up for two people and we really enjoyed our stay there. The sea views are lovely, even on a bad day. Although there is no parking, it is not a problem as there is free roadside parking a five minute walk away or you can buy a weekly pass on the car parks for £28. The car park right next to the cottage doesn't offer weekly passes (but the machine always seemed to be broken - we didn't risk parking there!)<br /> There are lots of good places to eat and drink in Sheringham and plenty of takeaways too. It is a lovely place to spend time and we would love to go back there in the future.”

Palmers Lodge: 17-22/4/25. The lodge is located on the east drive of Holkham estate. A lovely private setting, surrounded by woodland. The lodge is comfortable and warm. There was an issue with the shower thermostat on our visit, over an Easter weekend. An emergency plumber was unable to rectify on call-out. So unfortunately the shower was effectively unusable during our 5 day stay. The lodge is well equipped, though could benefit from more crockery in the kitchen area and an armchair for extra comfort. Of note is a steep spiral stairs to the bedroom area, which could be difficult to navigate for some. Included in the price was free Parking and discounts at Holkham outlets in the area.
