What our customers say about their holidays

Overall Big Sky Barn was excellent for our requirements. The arrival hamper was a lovely touch. It was very peaceful yet only a mile from the beach and handy for other locations we wanted to visit. Two lovely big beds and two great bathrooms with walk in showers. The garden was enclosed which was great for the dog. It also felt very secure and the outside shower was extremely useful for the dog. There was everything that we needed in the kitchen. My husband took his bike and he was able to keep it in the utility room. The only reason I have given it 4 stars is because the cutlery had seen better days and it was not nice to eat from. A modern, stainless steel set would be worth investing in. Also we noticed that most of the light fittings needed a good dust and had a collection of cobwebs on them. Outside the patio furniture was horrible modern, uncomfortable plastic chairs. Investing in a nice rattan or wooden patio set would make sitting outside much more appealing . Despite these few negative comments on issues that can be resolved, we had a great holiday.

Very well equipped little chalet with enough room for 2 adults and 3 children. Very comfortable beds. Excellent touches and lovely decoration on the inside a lot of plug sockets everywhere (not that we needed them). Even has a washing machine and a clothes horse for drying. Great distance to the beach, good local shop and ice cream very nearby. Tesco is about 4 miles away to help with food costs. The beach is beautifully sandy and clean, but quite exposed so take a wind block for the beach. The beach is dog friendly although a small part (roughly 200 meters) in front of the chalet does not allow dogs May - October otherwise free for dogs to roam either side of this! Lots of things to do in the local area and Norfolk has a well organised council for tourism. We went on a seal trip and wells next the sea (1 hour away) and bewilderwood (20 minutes away). Then we spent most of the holiday relaxing, reading, dog walking and playing on the beach!! Great holiday thank you!

What a wonderful place to stay in a delightful area. Definitely a rural heaven yet quite close to miles of sandy beaches, delightful countryside and local amenities. A super welcome hamper with lots of local produce including bacon, butter, bread, cookies and even treats for our two cockapoos. Very comfy property with all mod cons & many thoughtful extras eg handy torches. Outside areas very generous & fully enclosed which was ideal for our dogs. Marvelous large enclosed grassed garden area which would have been even better with a a bench or two to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Two huge patio doors in the lounge open up to bring the outside in which is one of many other thoughtful features. Would thoroughly recommend and would return at the drop of a hat to explore some more of the area.

The barn was beautiful Things to remember the door locks automatically so make sure you have the key on your person....we got locked out and had to ring the very helpfully owner The lounge has a very large window with no curtain, when we visited the weather was cold and we found the lounge cold on an evening and you are not able to adjust the heating The furniture did suit the style of the accommodation, however the sofa seating was extremely low and not “higher” seating was available......perhaps need a couple of easy chairs that offer a different height option Overall the cottage was well equipped and very clean

Big Sky Barn is a real treasure of a find. Part of a larger farm layout, yet secluded from the other dwellings with two dedicated areas for the dog to wander. In many instances, premises never quite match the publicity photos, but they do at BSB. A great layout with all the facilities you could need. Friendly and engaging hosts and a very nice welcome hamper on arrival. It’s close proximity to the beaches, yet down a quiet country lane make it a great base to explore. We even had friends asking where we were from photos posted! We will certainly return to Big Sky Barn given the opportunity.
