What our customers say about their holidays

    • Elizabeth - Verified booking

The property is in a quiet location two minutes from the sea.

The house is very comfortable with good quality bedding and plenty of fluffy towels. The whole of the house was very clean and cared for. All kitchen and bathroom requirements, such as foil cling film and cleaning materials provided. The house has plenty of storage space. The ground floor utility was great for removing sandy boots after a good walk or for putting wet things straight in washer. All the rooms are comfortable light and airy with good quality furnishings and decor to ensure a relaxing stay. Our family ranges from six to seventy and we have stayed a number of times in different combinations and all had a lovely time. Cath the owner responds quickly to any little niggles and will offer suggestions on things to do. You are made to feel valued as a guest. For us a perfect place to enjoy a holiday in Bridlington whatever the season.

We had a great 10-day stay over Christmas.

The cottage was comfortable and scrupulously clean, with ample storage (except for in the bathroom, where a shelf or two would be useful). The kitchen is very well-stocked with pans and tools. There were a Christmas tree and decorations, which made it very cosy for the festivities. There were just two of us most of the time and a third over the Christmas weekend; maybe the cottage would have felt slightly crowded with four adults, but for us it was ideal. It is an easy walk (c. 10 minutes) in to Richmond, which is a lovely town, and there are great drives and walks in the area. The heating is efficient (though noisy at times, with clanking pipes) and the cottage was perfectly warm. Because of the thick walls I suspect it would also stay cool in summer. If we ever return to Richmond I will definitely plan to stay here agin.

Really lovely holiday home, great location and a nice roomy place.

A couple of little niggles, while the kitchen is lovely and a good size it does lack any useful utensils to cook with (one flimsy plastic draining spoon is really not sufficient to make a meal with) Also while there were a couple of jigsaw puzzles provided there was not really anywhere to do them. We used the kitchen table to eat meals and the coffee table in the living room was not really suitable. The garden is lovely and secure but the items that are on the path are a little awkward to navigate (a large stone roller and the metal stand and umbrella) and these would be best moved to the garage or corner of the garden. That said, we had a lovely stay and we will book again.

Sea Mews What a comfortable well equipped holiday home.

The little touches of chocolates and wine as a welcome gift, the lovely plants that made it a home for the week and the modern colourful and comfortable decor made this a home from home. The apartment is situated within five minutes of the beautiful south beach and promenade but also close to main roads leading to nearby attractions like Flamborough and Sewerby Hall. It s about fifteen minutes walk from the local railway station which we used for days out to Beverley and thanks to Cath for the recommendation of the theatre in Hull. We were never short of anything to do and really enjoyed staying in this quiet part of Bridlington.

Had a absolutely wonderful stay at the Mews.

Cath was ever so helpful. The property is beautiful, modern and comfortable. With everything you need. It would be suitable for families, couples and solo guests like myself self. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties or reduced mobility as it is set over 2floors. Very close to the beach, very quiet. Richie's cafe close to the property does nice meals, they are open to 11pm but stop serving meals at 6pm. Further in to Bridlington town centre ,about a 10 min walk, there other pubs that do meals. Overall had a lovely stay at the Mews, I will be recommending it to my friends and I will be returning.
