Excellent place to unwind and relax even with two grand children three and a half and one and a half, and a dog.

There was enough space for three adults, children and dog. The open plan kitchen, diner and living room was a great space to enjoy the evenings. We only had to have the log burner on twice which was very cosy and would imagine even cosier in the winter. Outside there was plenty of space to run around the grounds and estate and go on walks. Even more fun if you have slightly older children. Only slight downside, if you have small children, would be getting to the beaches with all the paraphernalia. Took a little bit longer than we thought, but that's Devon I suppose and maybe down to our poor navigational skills and planning. Tip - Re food and provisions. There is a huge Tesco superstore only 8-10 mins away with the usual opening hours, so no worries about taking a huge amount of food for the week if you plan to cook. Lastly, the owners of the cottages, who live on the estate are very nice and accommodating and don't mind you asking any questions you may have. Would go back again.

The cottage has everything you need, every pot and pan you could think of, tea coffee etc, beautiful toiletries and fully towels, comfy bed and a gorgeous quilt The Estate is amazing and we had hours exploring new things. Our doggy was safe and secure and loved the smells. She's only a pup but met sheep, pheasants, rabbits, squirrels (cheeky one sat on the window ledge) and frogs ! The owners are lovely people, happy to chat and recommend, or leave you be Some great walks on Dartmoor and Totnes is a must. Some lovely cakes from the shop in Cornwood Village Big Tesco in Cornwood too, but Endsleigh Garden Centre in Ivybridge is a must for homemade food and products too one word of warning - DO NOT USE YOUR SAT NAV !! We got totally lost on the little country lanes before we arrived and must have spent 2 hours going round in circles !! YOU MUST follow the instructions from the Owner and you will find the cottage with ease Amazing stay, thank you so much

Well what can I say.

This caravan is a the top of the park and is on the steepest roadway I have seen. Totally unsuitable for the elderly or families with small children. The gas was empty so having spoken to the owner I was directed to get the site maintenance to check it out. They did so and replaced the gas bottles. I also asked them to look at the TV in the living room that wasnât picking up the sat channels and they couldnât fathom out the problem. The owner said that I must have been pressing the wrong buttons. I think there were other issues that she is not owning up to. The caravan is a bit small. Ok for a you family I suppose but no good for us. The Wi-Fi was chargeable from the site, not mentioned in the Ad. About Â£6 a day for anything usable. There was a good power shower and the decking was fully enclosed so safe for our small dog. All in All, for us a total waist of money. We left after one night and the owner blamed us for our concerns.

Arriving up a long sweeping drive,t his is fantastic place to stay, the owners are delightful leaving us to roam on their wonderful country estate.

The accommodation is excellent and perfectly laid out. A great kitchen and an enormous lounge, with wood burner that also heats some of the upstairs radiators. TV and excellent wifi. An endless supply of wood and kindling was so generous. Upstairs, two bathrooms with power showers one with bath worked really well with our family. One double bedroom with very comfortable mattress, and a further two twin bedrooms. The twin with another lounge / kids play area provided further space. This room is equipped with TV / and loads of puzzles and toys. The tennis court is opposite, with a boating pond and stream for the kids to play in. It is one of the best places we have stayed in and is great for families or just a quiet retreat. The Owl living in the barn was wonderful, and making campfires and dens just added to the occasion !!

Although the boathouse is secluded there is always something happening, from the various species of wildlife to the boats and canoes on the river.

Our children aged 12 & 13 were never bored and always found something to occupy their time, we took laptops etc but didn't use them ( the wifi isn't the best ). At low tide we would go off exploring and enjoyed some lovely walks , high tide could never come soon enough for the kids, they loved crabbing off the mooring. Everything we needed from supermarkets to days out was within a 15 minute drive, Brixham harbour was a lovely place to visit. My husband chose to drive down to the steps instead of parking at the designated spot, he had no problems doing this in decent conditions and if we had got stuck Charlie would have been on hand to tow us out. The boathouse is a hidden gem! We were blown away and have rebooked for next year.
