What our customers say about their holidays

    • Mrs Wood - Verified booking

Beautiful house, clean and bright with everything you could wish for and the kitchen sink! I was really pleased to see tableware and cutlery for children, amazing! Thoughtfulness of the tea, coffee, wine and cookies on arrival as well as the milk was very much appreciated after a long journey. Only 2 negatives are that we felt the property lacked power sockets/weren't set out for ideal use. The road is VERY noisy. We were lucky with the weather so needed the windows open at night. It's a particularly busy road or at least it was on our stay. Being at the top of the hill most cars are in a lower gear to get up the hill so the noise was particularly loud. Beautifully positioned for a good walk into town. 2 of our party weren't fully fit (injuries) so they struggled to walk what a local called cardiac hill but they got the bus from across the road and we were happy to walk. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Excellent location with great access to the Camel Trail and only a short walk into the town. Beds comfortable with very good linen. Great to have access to the garage to keep bikes safe and dry. Equipment probably the best we have had at a holiday property. Great meals at Rojanos and Rick Stein's fish and chips but very disappointing for two of us at The Mariner's in Rock - the Cote de Bouffe was expensive and far too fatty! My daughter and husband had a fabulous meal at No6 (special treat). Camel Valley Winery a great place to visit and have their tour which includes a "flight" of their sumptuous wines. Granddaughter loved the lobster hatchery and witnessed a release at Gaverne bay. Dolphin watch was a great success - lots of dolphins and a few calves. Trevose golf club was brilliant. Definitely recommend this property and will no doubt return.

Stunning views from the living/dining room, kitchen and master bedroom. Always something interesting to look at whether it was the changing weather pattern, the tide coming in and out or the paddle boarders and water skiers. Avocet is ideally located in a quiet residential area but within very easy walking distance to the centre of Padstow. It's probably one of the best equipped holiday properties we've stayed in and was spotlessly clean. The Covid-19 situation meant that eating out at restaurants was limited by availability of outside eating areas and the rather cool weather. But, anyway, you couldn't get a better view whilst eating your evening meal than the one from Avocet's living room! It was the perfect location for walking the South West Coast Path and Camel Trail. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

    • Mrs Hall - Verified booking

Our family of four had a lovely stay at Curlews in Trevone. It is private and in a quiet area, a 10 minute walk at the most to the beach. Lovely coastal walk to Harlyn bay in one direction and a long coastal walk or shorter walk on footpaths across fields to Padstow in the other direction. The bungalow is spacious, light with big windows and views to the sea and the Big Hole up on the cliff. The beds and settees were comfy, the showers were good and there was lots of room for coats and shoes in the entrance area. There were electric heaters throughout which could be adjusted and it warmed up nicely when needed. On arrival the scones, cream and jam, milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolate were much appreciated.

    • Mr Hayward - Verified booking

The cottage is in a superb location for access to local walks and Padstow. Amenities are good but need to be checked before guest arrival as there were problems with heating and hot water systems. All of these could have been more quickly resolved with readily accessible information. The housekeeper was very helpful in trying to resolve the issues. We had a very enjoyable stay despite these issues and were sorry to leave Trevone. It is a great location and a beautiful part of Cornwall.
