What our customers are saying about our Summer Holiday Cottages In Hopton To Rent.

"We had a fantastic holiday in The Old Carthouse - really relaxing and welcoming. There were the two of us and our 2 year old and 6 year old and they had a great time too. The place is comfortable and feels well looked after. The kids loved playing with Holly and Meg (the dogs), as well as admiring the ponies and cows in nearby fields. I loved playing with the Pizza oven. I never quite got it right, but I think that's down to practice more than anything. They definitely tasted better than the frozen ones! There's loads of things to do in the area that aren't too far away. We would definitely recommend the National Memorial Arboretum (surprisingly great for young children) which was about 20 minutes drive. We're National Trust members, so we spent a lot of time visiting those properties, and there's plenty to chose from. There's no Wi-Fi and very patchy mobile signal, which is great for feeling disconnected from the world, but did cause a slight hiccup when we couldn't check that somewhere was open (it was closed cause of high winds!) so we nearly had a wasted journey. The DVD player was also rather complicated to figure out!"

"We had a great short break break in the Peak District, the weather and scenery were fantastic. The cottage at Stallington Hall farm was beautiful and has been decorated to a very high standard. The whole cottage was very peaceful, comfortable and clean with a kitchen that was both spacious and very well equipped. Our hosts were very pleasant and easy going and the cottage affords you privacy with your own garden space to relax in but for the ultimate in relaxation, then the hot tub is unmissable. This is an excellent place from which to explore the Peak District as nothing is too far and there are a number of pubs nearby also worthy of a visit (Black Lake Inn and the Saracens Head Steak House to mention a just two)."

"A lovely cottage with a well-kept garden in a nice area with plenty to do within about 40 mins drive, eg Trentham Gardens, Tissington Trail, Sudbury, Cannocks Chase. But a few minor niggles: 1. Only duvets available were too warm for the weather (an issue at most cottages we have stayed at) 2. Only one bath mat, so were constantly moving it between the bathroom and ensuite shower room. 3. Heated towel rails would be good (think they were probably the type that heat up with the heating but no good in summer) - we did manage to dry the towels off each day by putting up the airer in the downstairs toilet and rotating them twice a day, but not ideal!"

"The cottage was perfect for our holiday. It was situated very well for everywhere we wanted to visit. The cottage was clean and very spacious. The owners were lovely and very welcoming. The garden was lovely for our son (3 years old) to run about and play in and was separated from the owners. Plenty of garden furniture to use to for sitting outside in the lovely weather we had. Their dogs were very well behaved and our son loved to go and see them if he saw them out. We would go back here again."
