About this property

A really charming Derbyshire cottage in the picturesque Peak District village of Youlgreave.

Situated in the popular village of Youlgreave, Rose Cottage is a stunning property that has been beautifully renovated and finished to a very high standard. The well-equipped kitchen, crisp linen on the comfortable beds and the inviting log burning stove in the original beamed lounge make this a really great place for friends and family to enjoy. Take a stroll down to Bradford Dale where you can often spot kingfishers and dippers diving into the river, or take advantage of one of the other spectacular walks available from the doorstep.

Centrally located in the village, the cottage is just a stone’s throw away from the wonderful church, cute little village stores and three fantastic pubs, which all cater for a variety of different tastes. Further afield, you may want to hop in the car and explore the famous Chatsworth House, historic Haddon Hall or sample Bakewell’s famous pudding, all just a five-minute drive away. Or for the more adventurous types, why not take a ride on a steam train in Matlock, splash around in Carsington Water, or take a cycle ride along the High Peak Trail.

After a hard day exploring, take advantage of the secluded garden and enjoy an evening under the stars with your favourite tipple.

Our second visit to Youlgreave this year-our first stay in Rose cottage. A super location in the heart of the village, a very comfortable well equipped base from which to explore the beautiful White Peak area. A most enjoyable week.

A lovely cosy cottage in a brilliant location. Great walks and stunning scenery in every direction. You don't need to drive once you are here, there are plenty of walks from the house. The village has 2 good pubs serving food. Great shops and a cafe too. All you need and dog friendly !
