When the weather turns, draw everyone together in the sitting area, where a Smart TV and gas fire set the scene for film nights, board games, and slow evenings in. At bedtime, choose between two inviting bedrooms: a double with its own TV and en-suite basin and WC, plus a twin that works well for children or friends. A shower room with a walk-in shower completes the layout, keeping mornings running smoothly. If you’re travelling with little ones, a travel cot and highchair can be requested, and one well-behaved pet is welcome to join the adventure. When it’s time to explore, spend a day in Holyhead, a lively town that’s also home to Breakwater Country Park for wildlife spotting, before heading to South Stack Lighthouse for a memorable coastal visit.

For a change of pace, Menai Bridge is a great place for a stroll, with the Menai Suspension Bridge and Britannia Bridge creating an iconic backdrop, plus shoreline walks with views over the Menai Strait. Alternatively, make for Beaumaris to wander the seafront and pier, then step back in time at Beaumaris Castle, famed for its near-perfect symmetry. However you spend your days on the island, Temperance Caravan makes a lovely base to return to.

A peaceful and friendly village, Bodedern sits in the heart of the wonderful Isle of Anglesey. In terms of amenities, it offers a welcoming pub, a shop and a Post Office. The entire island is bursting with unique things to see and do, and is all accessible within a 30-minute drive. Close by are the neighbouring destinations of Holyhead and Trearddur Bay, the former abounds in charming shops and pubs as well as offering the striking Breakwater with its County Park. Meanwhile, Trearddur Bay is flanked by glorious rugged coastline and sandy beaches and coves, as well as the picturesque South Stack Lighthouse. Travel to the other end of the island to visit the fabulous medieval town of Beaumaris with its dramatic castle and range of fun attractions. The world's second longest one-word place name, shortened to Llanfair PG, also sits nearby. Head to mainland Wales to spend a day at Llandudno, Conwy, Caernarfon or even the Snowdonia National Park for you outdoor enthusiasts.
