" After a long drive up from Dorset I was victorious in reversing through the stone gateway in our Seat Alhambra! What a relief! The house is light, clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped and in the most enviable location being 5 mins walk to the castle, restaurants and shops, 15 mins walk to the vast beach. Comfortable beds, luxorious bathrooms and extra utility meant I could iron all the wedding outfits in total comfort! It was a big treat forour family of 6, attending my brother's Wedding in the small church just a stroll away and reception in the Memorial Hall, also a couple mins stroll away. We could pop back and get changed as the party progressed! I noticed people walking would pause and stand on 'our' driveway as they passed on the hill, to enjoy the view. The table and chairs at the front of the house were well used on dry days, and drizzly days!. you can't beat that view! The perfect place to share a bottle of wine with family and friends. Sea, mountains, castle! We also enjoyed watching all the crows, jackdaws and swifts whirling around from our elevated position as they got ready to roost. Well worth the stretch in our budget.. if we could afford it again we would definitely return to Bronwen Terrace. Cheers! "

"We had a lovely family holiday here this last week. The property is in a lovely location - just a five minute walk to the beach the beach is beautiful and we spent some lovely afternoons paddling and walking with our little girl and dogs. Harlech itself is up a very steep hill, but once you've conquered that there are some lovely little cafes, icecream shop, picnic sites, and of course the castle. There are lots of wonderful places to explore nearby too. The only feedback on the property would be that some things do need an update. The kettle needs replacing (only works when you hold the switch down), some of the bedding was very bobbled and would expect better in such accommodation. The downstairs double bedroom also had a rather unpleasant smell when the door was left shut, but with the door open this was fine - but possibly needs a little look at. The property was really well equipped with everything we needed to cook, clean, bake, and relax for the week. The climbing frame in the garden went down really well with our little girl. and all the space was loved by our dogs. All in all, a fabulous week, we would definitely return (just with a new kettle and sheets!!)"

"This is a great base for people who enjoy simplicity. The cottage is relatively small as you would expect for an old, rural Welsh cottage, but as the children spent all spare time playing in the many secret spots in the garden, it was perfectly adequate. We spent every evening eating outside under the distant mountains. I walked the dog every morning on the hill directly out of the back garden gate, and never tired of the stunning views of Portmerion and Harlech castle. There are all the amenities you need in Porthmadog, 20 minutes in the car, or prefect tranquillity if you'd rather it, at the cottage. There's no tumble drier, but the heated towel rail and sitting cupboard meant we could dry clothes when the weather was too changeable to use the clothes line. We had a brilliant week exploring Snowdonia, biking in Cody Brennin, beaches at Borth y gest , Criccieth, and Blackrock sands, crabbing at Porthmadog, taking the train from Talarnau request stop station to Barmouth for fish and chips. If you love the outdoors, this place is an absolute gem."

"We had a wonderful time in Rhiwgoch. It is a simple but well equipped cottage which has everything you need. Gwen was very friendly and helpful and available to answer any of our questions. The views from the cottage are wonderful and the garden is a lovely place to sit, even on a windy day you can hunker down behind the solid stone wall and enjoy your cup of tea.The cottage is at the top of a very large hill, so it's not easy to walk into Harlech or go to the beach on your bikes but the advantage is that you get a great view.Harlech has a wonderful long sandy beach and you can do a lot of nice walks in the area. There are a few nice cafes in Harlech and a Spar but you have to go to Porthmadog or Barmouth to do your main food shop. The traffic-free bike path from Barmouth to Dolgellau is definitely worth doing. Flat and well maintained with stunning views in both directions."

" Not only did we really enjoy Harlech again, but the house introduced us to new areas, and gave us the best possible view of the Castle as well as fantastic sunsets. Sadly not even the view could make the hill any easier, nor take away the impossibility of getting the car through the gates onto the terrace. But even that had a silver lining - we had an uninterrupted view from the living room! The house had a seemingly endless supply of necessary and ever so useful rooms, and being able to get out at first floor level to the back entry was great for luggage moving. The parking passes at the Leisure Centre solved the parking problem, and added to our fitness. We would love to go again, and this house would be an important part of any future trip. "
