The following comments are intended to be helpful and not are not major complaints. We enjoy are stay at Secret Garden every year. Perfect for a couple like us, perhaps two (but not for a family with small children). Even with windows left open and the extractor fan on while cooking, it's impossible to control the condensation - it was even on the back of the door. It was particularly cold when we stayed, and all other stone buildings in town had the same problem, but maybe a Vent-Axia-style fan would help. The duvet in the larger bedroom is looking old and thin. In the past, staying in October, it's been only just warm enough: this time we had to add the duvet from the other room. These are minor quibbles. We have enjoyed staying at the Secret Garden for the past five years. It’s a lovely cottage with a delightful garden in a great location and very well equipped. All are conversations with the staff have been helpful and friendly. We look forward to our return trip next year.

Perfect position in Fowey, next to the river and on a flat walk into the centre. However, to access the property there is a steep slope from the road, therefore those with mobility problems may struggle. The house was immaculate with everything you could think of, but I would have liked a clothes airer as not everything can go in the drier. The beds are very comfortable with quality linen and pillows. If you are a light sleeper, there may be some noise when the Bodinnick ferry starts at 7am in summer and stops at 9pm approx. Parking is nearby and we paid for the week so we could come and go easily. There are local coffee and ice cream shops a minute away, and the main town area is approximately 7 minutes scenic walk. There is a slipway opposite which was easy to launch and land our kayak. I would not hesitate to recommend or rebook this property.

A very comfortable, well furnished and equipped holiday home. Views are lovely and it's only a five minute walk into the centre of Fowey where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Kids will love watching all the activity on the river. We had an excellent breakfast at the brown sugar cafe and a quirky but memorable dinner at the north st kitchen. The only problem which people should know about is that the parking is difficult. We went in mid-September and the nearest car park (caffa mill) was always extremely busy and it was very difficult to park there, there is a further overflow car park 22 metres up the road and parking for 1000 cars at the other end of Fowey so there seemed to be adequate parking further away.

We have stayed in this row of houses many times over the years but this was a first time for us in this property. The position of the house is perfect for the nearby car park, car ferry and for exploring the town. There are lovely walks both sides of the water and plenty of places nearby to visit by car. On this trip we parked up and walked everywhere, swam daily at Readymoney and ate out in the pubs and restaurants in town. The house is spacious, comfortable and has a well equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need including a coffee machine and milk frother which was great!

Probably the best holiday cottage we’ve had! Furnished to a high standard. Exceptionally clean throughout and a very comfortable bed. Great views and a perfect location to enjoy Fowey and the surrounding area. Couldn’t fault it! Parking wasn’t a problem. You can park in the main car park for a week for £26. It is only a short walk away but you do need to be able to negotiate a steep flight of steps. Not an issue for us. A quick stop to off load luggage outside the property from your car is possible. We will certainly recommend the cottage to family and friends.
