    Flushing Holiday Cottages

The coastal village of Flushing sits 3 miles east of Penryn and about 10 miles south of Truro, facing Falmouth across the Penryn River. Best known for its annual Regatta Week every July, Flushing holiday cottages are popular amongst those looking for a few days away in a picturesque location, without too many crowds or tourists.

Flushing is classed as a Cornwall AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), giving it the same level of environmental protection as a National Park - hence its gorgeous greenery. Indeed, Flushing feels fairly different to other nearby neighbourhoods, as it was settled by a Dutch community back in the 17th century and retains a European charm. The Norman style St Peter’s Church is a scenic photo spot for visitors and the Seven Stars riverside pub is a must-visit for local cuisine.

Snaptrip has thousands of holiday cottages listed on its site, in Flushing and beyond. With every booking covered by the Snaptrip best price guarantee, you won't find better value elsewhere. Filter your property search by feature to find the right place or give our customer service team a call to discuss if you need a helping hand.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Beth - Verified booking

We had a wonderful stay at Penhaven and would highly recommend it as a base.

It's very cosy, well equipped and in a great location- close to the beach, harbour and coast walks, right opposite the village store and a short walk to the always welcoming Paris pub. We were in Coverack with our 2 children for the 90th birthday party of a local family member at the beginning of January and we all loved seeing the colourful Christmas lights along the front, very festive! Things which would have been helpful - a hatchet/small axe for splitting firewood. Some of the logs were too big to be useful. We ended up borrowing one. - instructions for the Sky box, we couldn't work out how to use it! (We had our own devices, so wasn't a problem) - the kitchen table is very wobbly! We tried to stabilise it but couldn't. (also the chairs are extremely heavy - some people might struggle to lift them) - the oven could do with a clean. There was a strong greasy smell when it was turned on (possibly it was used to make a big Christmas dinner the week before?!) Anyway, all minor details - essentially it's a very lovely, comfortable cottage and we really enjoyed our time. Thank you!

Dean and Clare are very accommodating hosts.

They respect your privacy but at the same time they are very approachable and helpful. The location is ideal, especially if you want to explore the south Cornwall coastline from St. Mawes to Par, and there is ample easy parking. The Snug has everything you will need. It includes all the basics, e.g., standard fridge freezer, hair dryer, cooking oil, eggs, semi-skimmed milk, etc. They also include a hamper comprising local produce, e.g., cheddar, savoury and sweet biscuits, butter, wine, chocolate, clotted cream, jam, etc. The bathroom has an excellent easy to use shower with good water pressure and a bath, which was very welcome after our long walks. Upstairs is the lounge with comfy furnishings, TV and a desk. All in all, a superb comfy base for exploring Cornwall. I highly recommend it.

A beautiful little gem of a property to stay in Porthleven, Cornwall, with stunning views across the harbour.

Ideal location to use as a base to explore, with a must visit to the Twisted Currant, especially for their cream teas and The Deli, especially for their pizzas. Exceptionally clean, very warm, with underfloor heating and preset heating. Would have been nice to have had some instructions to be able to adjust the temperature as it did feel slightly chilly on occasions. Also, no instruction to utilise the Quooker, however didn't prove to be too much of a problem. Wonderfully comfortable bed and beautiful bedding in the main bedroom and some super decorative touches. Settees in the living room were not designed to spend too long a period of time on as felt a little hard on the back. All in all, a lovely place to stay.

The Snug is a lovely little gem that made our stay in Cornwall so wonderful.

Compact and ideal for a twosome getaway. The layout is very quirky, with the main seating/relaxing area being upstairs in a loft conversion, and the bedroom being downstairs with an amazing ensuite bathroom attached. The whole place is very well furnished and decorated very nicely indeed. We were welcomed by a very nice hamper of food and wine as well as a few samples of the beer that is brewed in the microbrewery next door. Location wise, it was ideal for all of the places we wanted to visit, not just on the East Coast, but the West Coast too. The owners, Dean and Clare are lovely hosts, and very friendly and helpful. We will certainly visit again soon.

      Loved, loved, loved this cottage!

Clare and Dean have gone out of their way to make the Snug a home from home, everything is extremely well thought out and we didn’t want for anything. From the welcome hamper, home made scones, very locally produced beer (next door!), to the toiletries, walking books, information leaflets, everything was there. The upstairs lounge is gorgeous; you can lounge on the settee and see the moon through the skylight in the evening, or sit at the desk downloading photos from the day (as my husband did). The bed is comfy, the walk-in shower is great, well, everything was great, and next time we visit Cornwall this is where we are going to stay.
