Delightful character cottage nestling at the front of the idyllic fishing village of Polruan overlooking the estuary which provides the perfect romantic retreat.

Perfectly situated overlooking the River Fowey just a stone s throw from the quayside, beach, pubs and village amenities. For a lovely day out hop on the passenger ferry to Fowey and enjoy the independent shops and restaurants on offer or step out onto the beautiful Hall Walk to Bodinnick passing Riverside, Daphne Du Maurier s home or follow the South West Coast Path to Lantic Bay or Lansallos Beach. Further afield there are plenty of places to visit and things to do, why not visit the tall ships at Charlestown, take the brewery tour in St Austell or visit the Eden project and/or the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also, for those interested in stately homes why not visit Lanhydrock in Bodmin. Step inside from the delightful chimney pot terraced street and hang up your outer wear. Head into the beautifully furnished lounge with Danish style armchairs and a comfortable sofa. Relax in front of the wood burner after a day exploring and watch your favourite film on the Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker. Unwind and read a book or play one of many board games. Heading upstairs, the wonderfully cosy king size bedroom is incredibly spacious with a window to watch the ever changing river towards Fowey. From the landing, you ll find the bathroom with a shower over bath and WC so enjoy an evening soak after a long day exploring the endless walks from your doorstep. There are many small winding streets in and around the village, that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display car park at the top of the village. Need to know: 1 bedroom king size. 1 bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Electric oven and hob, coffee machine, microwave, fridge with ice compartment and slimline dishwasher. Utility area with washing machine. Wood burner (first basket of logs included). Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker in the lounge area. Travel cot available. You can unload your car at the cottage and parking is available in the public car park at the top of the village (charges apply). Beach, pubs and village shop, all within walking distance. Polruan is situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging. Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps/ slopes some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements..
