Located in Golant on the picturesque upper reaches of the Fowey River, a sought after village popular with locals and visitors. Once here immerse yourself in village life, vibrant at times although at an altogether slower pace. Enjoy stunning walks following the river as it meanders downstream. Visit the impressive Restormel Castle and the harbour towns of Fowey and Charlestown. Just a stones throw away is Fowey, boasting some fine eateries and individual boutiques. Further afield is Charlestown featured in the Poldark series, a perfect place for lunch or to relax on the quay. Attractions include The Eden Project, The Ship Wreck Centre, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Poldark Mine, St Michaels Mount and National Trust properties including nearby Lanhydrock house. Enter this reverse level traditional barn into the hallway where the staircase leads to the first floor where the lounge/kitchen/diner is located. A warm and welcoming space which oozes character with exposed beams and wooden floors. The perfect place to relax after a days adventures whilst listening to the crackle of wood burner and taking in your favourite movie on the TV. The kitchen area comprises off an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher and is just perfect for your holiday home cooking requirements. Heading back downstairs leads you to the bedroom and bathroom area on the ground floor. Bedroom one, a king size with en suite shower room with WC and bedroom two with handcrafted L shaped full size wooden bunk beds. Completing the accommodation is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Heading outside, enjoy shared use of the heated indoor endless pool and sauna, shared games room with pool table, or relax in the enclosed garden area with 2 seater hot tub, charcoal BBQ, chiminea and garden furniture. For the more sociable families there is a bar on site cleverly created from an old Silo, with outdoor seating open every Friday. Additionally there is occasional live entertainment to which guests will be welcomed with free entry. There is off road parking for two cars. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 king size and 1 bunk bedroom. 1 bathroom and 1 en suite shower room. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. 2 seater hot tub. Shared use of heated indoor endless pool and sauna. Wood burner (logs included). Off road parking for 2 cars. Beach and shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant within walking distance. TV located in the lounge. 1 EV charging point shared between all properties on site (additional cost paid directly to owner) . Bar and events space on site (Bar Silo Cornwall) with outdoor tables, when there is live music guests will be invited to attend free of charge. Bar open every Friday from March to October, and on special occasions such as New Year, with food sometimes served. Venue licenced for music up to 22.45 only. Music can be heard from the cottage.
