We just a lovely week at Tresawle - in the heatwave!
The house was great. Well equipped for our family of 5. Not sure if there were games/cards there as we didnât find them but we spent most of the time out anyway. The owner recommended some lovely places to eat and we enjoyed both breakfasts and dinners at the Albion, Jam Jar cafe, C Bay cafe and Cornishman. Great local shop that stocks most thi n a youâd need. We even bought some paintings there from a local artist. The beach itself is amazing. We paddle boarded and surfed. Big Green Surf school were lovely and we hired there every day. Coast paths and neighbouring bays are stunning. We parked the car on the drive on arrival and didnât get back in it until we left - perfect!!! The only criticism is the garden isnât secure for dogs. Open access to the neighbouring farm/allotments and possibly pub beer garden (we didnât check). Our dog explores everywhere, but luckily doesnât disappear, so always constantly off in the neighbouring land. If I went out I couldnât leave her in the garden as she would have escaped to follow me (even with the rest of the family in the house). Also, lots of lilies growing in the garden. Theyâre poisonous to dogs and she ate some of the berries/seeds the first evening - luckily not too much. All in all though a wonderful week. House is great and in a fantastic location. Weâd love to return.

We had a wonderful week in Rowan Cottage during February half term.
It has everything you need for a holiday with a dog, including dog food & drink bowls and a warm hose outside. The cottage is warm and very comfortable, with a cosy living room, airy dining room and warm, spacious bedrooms. The bath is fantastic! It has the most fabulously stocked kitchen I have ever come across, so catering was easy, but we also enjoyed meals and a pub quiz at Treguth Inn in Holywell Bay. The village shop & bakery are easy to walk to & handy for essentials, we bought fresh eggs from next door and Newquay is only 15 mins drive away. The village fish & chip shop was unfortunately shut while we were there, but I can recommend it from previous trips. Despite the windy weather, we had some fantastic walks over the common to Holywell Bay, Polly Joke and Crantock beaches and some lovely coastal path walking. Watching seals near Fistral beach on a very wild & windy day was a highlight of the trip.

Tresawle holiday cottage is well equipped, with everything you need, and very comfortable.
We felt at home straight away. The mattresses/beds are good quality and we slept well. The location is fantastic and a short walk to the beach with a shop, takeaway/cafe and two pubs within throwing distance! Crantock village is very pretty and the beach beside the Gannel is perfect for children (especially beginners watersports) and dogs. The village/area is super dog friendly. There are plenty of walking opportunities without the need to use the car. The garden is a lovely little suntrap (although adventurous dogs could escape into next door). It was such a bonus to find a downstairs WC/Cloakroom facilities that are not mentioned in the details. We would not hesitate to return and can highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

We thoroughly enjoyed our break at Rowan cottage.
The property was presented excellently - spotlessly clean with all aspects well thought out, convenient and meticulously presented. A homely feel and practical. We holidayed with two dogs and four humans and everyone found the cottage not only an ideal base but a genuine home from home and a fun place to stay in even on a wet March day. The attention given by Holly to our comfort and enjoyment of the week was great and it was very reassuring to know she was at hand if anything arose we needed help with. Location was excellent too, with lots to do in the local area. We have already booked to return and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Unquestionably superbly location.
Comfortable, but cold on arrival and with the main heating being Night store electric theatres, slow to warm up, A fan heater did help. Some of the lighting, not working. In particular, one of the two lights in the kitchen area not working, so that room was dark. The check out itime of 0900 is far too early and placed a strain on the last few hours in the property. Particularly as the cleaner was outside by 0850 . The same applies of the late check in of 4pm. More normal times are 3pm and 10pm The TV set uo was complicated and not easy to operate. However, difficult to beat for location, once having negotiated the narrow road in.
