A deceptively spacious and beautifully located cottage. On arrival the cottage looks small as you park outside, but once you enter and walk through the full size of the property becomes evident. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all downstairs with the cottage being built into the hillside. This provides for some great cottage features. Our undoubted highlight was the patio leading out from the kitchen with clear glass wall surrounds. The views over the countryside and coast beyond were stunning - Bardsey just visible! With comfortable outdoor seating (cushions in outside storage box) and pleasant sunshine, we spent a lot of time relaxing there! Walking up from the patio there is a large area of cut grass (a narrow field almost), completely fenced and dog safe. A perfect place to let the dogs run or to stroll and admire the views. The stairs leading down to the bedrooms are rather steep and might not be suitable for some, although a bolted gate is at the top for safety. The bedrooms were very well presented with excellent bathroom and en-suite. The lounge was very comfortable with four two-three seater sofas and a luxury dog bed! The kitchen was very well equipped with ability to open out the doors onto the patio. Although it was tempting to just stay at the cottage, the Llyn Peninsula is a lovely area to explore with several areas of National Trust protected coastline and wonderful walks. Abersoch, just a 5 minute drive away, is a lovely coastal town with several nice places to eat, including great fish and chips! Overall a delightful property and I would certainly be happy to stay again.

In terms of accuracy there was a photo on the website of a lean-to/conservatory which looks like it’s been replaced by the utility room. It looked much better to be honest and a much better use of the space, so no complaints here but just thought I’d flag it as you might want to update it! We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the house, it was beautifully decorated and really well equipped. 5 minutes walk into Abersoch itself and down to the beach so we didn’t have to get in the car once for the time we were there. There were 14 of us in total and the kitchen/ lounge area comfortably seated us all so it was a great social space. The only thing we could potentially find fault with was the fact there was no safe outdoor space to sit outside with small children and the dog. We had to be careful to keep the French doors closed as if the dog got out, he would make a run for it onto the busy main road. Perhaps a higher wall and gate where the seating area is at the front would be better, or else make sure you flag this to customers as, whilst for us it wasn’t a huge issue, in the summer when you wanted to spend more time outside this could be a problem. It would also provide more privacy from the road. It’s a beautiful house so people naturally look in through the glass doors. Overall though I would highly recommend the house and we are already thinking of going back for another family event soon.

Wow what an amazing house and facilities, we would love to return !
It was my husbands 50th so we spent time with friends we hadnât seen in a long time. The only things that we found we needed were tea towels and oven gloves as we cooked a roast on the Sunday . We will know next time. Thereâs a leak from the ceiling in the downstairs toilet which could do with a repair. We did bring towels but it does say on one of the sites that towels were included, so we nearly never until my husband spotted it. The location was fab, just off the high street and the house had a great parking area to the front for all our cars. The back yard area was heated which is great at this time of year. The bedrooms were a great size with lots of wardrobe space . The bathrooms again were top notch. Pending price weâd love to come in the summer of 2024. We will be in touch . We were a family group of 6 adults, 2 teenagers 1 baby and 2 dogs. This house was absolutely perfect for us. Lovely and cosy and comfortable and not too posh. Brilliant games room and table tennis table. Plenty of space , great beds, hot showers. The garden was fabulous and location really great. We all loved it. The only downside to our stay was the late check in time and really early check out time. Never before stayed in a property with these times and most properties are available between 10 and 4. The 9 am departure time on our final day caused a stressful ending to what had been a wonderful holiday.

This was our third trip to Ty Coed as this is such a wonderful place to spend time in Abersoch.
Great location , facilities and parking go without saying. As soon as you walk through the door, even for the first time, Ty Coed feels like a warm and welcoming family home that is all yours for your stay. Again the weather was kind which meant breakfast outside plus time to wind down in the sun, on the cute patio, at the end of a busy day before a walk into Abersoch Village for dinner. Abersoch has been part of the family for more than 30 years and I would say that Ty Coed is perhaps my favourite location and would not really want to consider going anywhere else. Thanks again .....see you next year x
