"My husband and I stayed at the Beechcroft Corner House for a week when visiting Sheffield, it is such a beautiful and quaint little cottage. We found it perfectly situated on the edge of Sheffield, making it close to access the peak district; but it is also close enough to the city centre. We easily accessed it by car but there is a bus stop directly outside, for those of you that don’t drive. Beechcroft Corner House might be situated on the main road, but we were not affected by this, whatsoever. There is mild traffic noise when you are in the kitchen, living/dining room or when out on the decking (which is great for your morning tea/coffee) but it did not disturb us in anyway. We could not hear the road when in the bedroom. We found it to be very clean and well maintained. We loved the fully equipped kitchen, giving us the option to cook; which we did! Most places usually only offer a microwave and/or a hob. The complimentary tea/coffee was great, especially since we arrived quite late in the day. The shower room may be quite small, but it does the job and fitted two of us in there easily. The shower was amazing, great pressure and nice and hot. I couldn’t get my husband out of it!!! It can always be a concern when a place allows pets, in that you can tell they have been there; whether this be by the smell or hair. This was not at all the case with Beechcroft Corner House. We did not bring any pets, but the place smelled fresh and clean and there was not a single piece of evidence that any pet had been there. The owners of Beechcroft Corner House are very welcoming and friendly. You can tell they take pride in renting out this place, from the small details to the big. I definitely recommend Beechcroft Corner House to anyone looking to rent a place in Sheffield, unless we have already booked it!"

" My husband, 6 week old daughter and I, have just returned from a week at the lovely Beechcroft Corner House in Sheffield where we stayed whilst visiting family – what a fantastic gem the property is! The layout of the property makes you feel like you’re living in a home away from home with it’s own lounge and large dining table (for 6 people) and fully equipped kitchen. It was super helpful having use of our own washing machine and dryer, especially with the need to wash baby clothes! We also loved the outside decking and garden area, perfect to enjoy a coffee in the morning or drink in the afternoon, the area is bathed in sunshine all day. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’d need for cooking meals, together with a very high-tech coffee machine. The bedroom area had loads of storage and hanging space – we had windows opened and were not disturbed by any outside noise from the road in the evening. The walk in shower is very modern and the power strong. What we really loved about the property was the thoughtful touches of the owner to make the stay more comfortable and convenient – a mini welcome hamper of fresh eggs (from their very own hens!), bread, milk, cereals and tea choices, lux bathroom toiletries , super quick wifi and loads of books, DVDs and boardgames. Our only regret was that we didn’t get time to check out all the recommendations the Owner left in their detailed welcome book. I should also make mention of the fab location; we enjoyed loads of lovely walks directly from the property through Ecclesell Woods and also a visit to Whirlow Farm. A really very charming abode and somewhere we would definitely recommend to friends and family. We ourselves have already booked again for the Autumn! "

"Not only was I very unlucky with the weather during my time at Wragg Cottage I also came down with a chest infection. The only thing that stopped this being a disaster of a holiday was Wragg Cottage. It is a lovely holiday let and I can thoroughly recommend it. The property is very spacious and has been furnished and fitted to a very high standard. It has the bonus of two sitting rooms, downstairs it faces east and gets the morning sun, as does the courtyard garden- a lovely sheltered place for morning coffee. Upstairs there is a west facing sitting room which gets the late afternoon and evening sun. There is also a balcony which must be delightful if you are more fortunate with the weather than I was! There are a number of short walks from the door which are ideal for the "necessary" dog walks and the Peak District National Park is just a short drive away. Pubs, cafes and shops are all available within a 3 mile radius."

"Very warm cosy cottage, ideal for walks from the door or a short drive into Derbyshire. This cottage is ok for a short term stay, we were there for four weeks visiting from Australia but would not recommend long term. Kitchen was compact and reasonably equipped, but some utensils could do with replacing. Cold tap in kitchen needs attention. Not enough electrical sockets for appliances in living area, had to keep unplugging radio to put light on ! A mirror in the hallway is a must. Bathroom layout is very unusual with toilet so close to the wall in front. Utility is actually the owners garage with a car inside most days. It does mention some road noise and we found this to be a very busy road at all times of the day. This holiday let is good value bearing in mind you are in a built up suburban area close to the countryside and local amenities."

"The barn was lovely, a really well furnished and decorated place. The kitchen and downstairs living area is spacious and comfortable but could do with some improved dimmer lighting. The rooms had all of the amenities you'd hope for including soft extra blankets and the underfloor heating with individual room thermostats are ideal. However, the boiler seemed to create a lot of excessive noise at night that is particularly audible in the middle bedroom. If you have lighter sleepers in your group they'd be better off in one of the other bedrooms in the barn, perhaps the rear bedroom. We had to completely switch off the boiler at night manually to have a peaceful sleep. The fridge/freezer is huge with an ice maker, the kitchen huge with everything you could need. It's a real gem of a place to stay near the north of the Peak District."
