Part of the Chatsworth Estate, Pingle Cottage has been thoughtfully designed to make the most of the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Large exposed wooden beams and original stonework blend seamlessly with all the modern touches you would expect in a Rural Retreat.

Located along a gravelled single track road in a relatively remote location near Carlton Lees, this semi detached barn conversion provides a rural bolthole for friends and families looking for a base to explore all Chatsworth Estate has to offer. The seamless blend of original features and modern touches create a comfortable environment for all.

Central to the open-plan living space is a large wood burning stove, ideal for relaxing in front of together, on those cooler evenings. Cook up a feast in the modern well-equipped kitchen area and unwind together after a day spent exploring Chatsworth Estate around the large dining table.

On the ground floor, you will find the twin bedroom with its own en-suite bathroom; the first floor bedroom has a large king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a full size bath and shower overhead, making Pingle Cottage the perfect base for friends and families.

Large french doors lead out onto the private rear garden where guests can soak up stunning views across the fields back to Carlton Lees and beyond. No matter the weather, Pingle Cottage enjoys enviable views.

The adjacent Rye Croft Cottage, sleeping six guests, can be booked in tandem with Pingle Cottage to provide accommodation for up to ten guests, subject to availability.

Pingle Cottage is in a peaceful, semi-remote location and as such, access is down a gravelled single track; unfortunately this road is not suitable for low slung vehicles to access.

At certain times of the year, guests have unlimited access to Chatsworth House and Gardens with free car parking. Conditions do apply, please see below for more information. In addition, guests can pre-book a slot for the Chatsworth Health Club, where facilities include use of the gym, swimming pool and tennis court (additional charges apply).

Additional Information:

Two well-behaved dogs welcome (additional charge per dog, should a stay be longer than 7 nights, dogs are charged at £35 per dog, per week).

Children and infants welcome(travel cot, high chair and portable stair gate available on request).

Underfloor heating in the bath/wet rooms.

There is a low un-even track leading up to the property, which is unfortunately not suitable for low slung vehicles.

Pingle Cottage can be booked alongside Rye Croft Cottage to sleep ten guests in total, subject to availability. There is a gateway in the garden between the two properties, for when they are booked in tandem.

The bedding is non-feather.

A time slot for use of the Health Club is bookable in advance at an additional charge.

At certain times of the year, multi-entrance tickets to Chatsworth House and Gardens are included for all Chatsworth collection cottages. These tickets give you unlimited access to Chatsworth House and Gardens, with free car parking for the duration of your stay. Holders of these multi-entrance tickets are also not required to book a time slot, so you have complete flexibility.

With these tickets, there’s no need to rush to view all of the wonders of Chatsworth, as you can return the following day on the same ticket to see what you missed or revisit your favourite part.

Please note that tickets must be collected from your cottage before visiting Chatsworth.

Multi-entrance tickets are not valid for admission to events such as the International Horse Trials and Country Fair. Please note the farmyard and playground are closed during the Country Fair.

Chatsworth tickets are single entry only over the Christmas period, between early November and early January (for specific dates, please click here). There will also be a few dates prior to our Christmas season where the house will be closed for dressing.

Important: Chatsworth House will be closed from early January to early mid March (for specific dates, please click here) so no tickets will be issued during this period.
