"An ideal holiday if you value tranquility and nature as Keepers Cottage is in a beautifully peaceful setting with nearest houses being in East Beckham. We had many walks on footpaths nearby and on one day took the bus from Aylmerton to Cromer as did not want to depend on a car. Felbrigg is within walking distance and to walk around the parkland and woodlands was lovely as was Sheringham Park and woodlands. There was a nature talk/walk on Beeston Regis Common. The Priory Maze cafe near the Common was very good. We did have a drive to the Norfolk Wildlife Trust at Cley marshes, which also has a good cafe, and to the RSPB's Titchwell. It was comforting to return to Keepers Cottage after a long walk as it felt like home from the moment we arrived. The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated all the towels provided. A lovely patio area adopted by two friendly partridges. I would have liked another toilet/sink perhaps coming off one of the bedrooms but cannot fault the cottage for not having this. The drive leading from East Beckham to cottage could perhaps have been levelled more with more sand. We like a property on one level as it feels spacious. We liked the high ceilings and roomy bedrooms. We liked the utility space for provisions and laundry equipment. We loved the gardens surrounding cottage. We did not find where the rotary dryer should go but managed as we used the wire next to hornbeam hedge which was absolutely fine. We took provisions with us and stopped on way to cottage at Aylsham for a few things. We did go to a village shop near The Priory Maze cafe and Sheringham is not too far."

"The cottage could not have been in a better location for access to the beach. However, it was not made clear that the access road was terrible - only the width of one car and if you could park there you had to be right up on the pavement up against a properties window. The other issue was the upstairs layout. I've no idea how it got past safety regulation. The very steep stairs to the bedrooms ended right outside of bedroom two. There should be a safety gate at the top because if someone came out of that bedroom half asleep they could easily fall down the stairs. There was a note to 'leave the landing light on' however the 'landing' was actually bedroom one.I also left a note at the cottage to say that the shower (which is lovely) did not drain away and flooded the whole bathroom. Hopefully that has been sorted.Having said all this, because it was only me and my husband there, the upstairs although not ideal wasn't a real issue. We ended up parking the car in the shop carpark in the high street which resolved the issue of the pavement parking. Mundesley is a beautiful little place and we would visit again but possibly in a cottage with off road parking."

"A very quiet location, which more importantly was within reasonable driving distance of the places in north Norfolk we wanted to visit. Swaffham is a nice enough town with big Tesco, Waitrose, Costa etc. Lounge is lovely, nice sofas and pleasantly decorated. Bathrooms fine and good to have two toilets.Kitchen well equipped with toaster, kettle, fridge freezer, cooker etc, but the crockery and cutlery, although clean and in fair condition, was ancient and didn't fit well with the pleasant kitchen.Conservatory was nice and a good place for meals - could get a little chilly but a heater thoughtfully provided - and there were plenty of books and board games!Bedrooms also fine with one significant caveat - the main bedroom curtains were virtually seethrough - closer to net curtains than proper curtains, and this was a real issue in late May when it's getting light from 0430. We were regularly woken by the sun streaming in and I'd strongly recommend that these curtains are replaced.Overal I'd recommend the property for its quiet and convenient location - the issues are nothing that couldn't be solved with a quick trip to Ikea."

"We arrived at the Cottage about 15:30. We inspected the cottage and found that a Mirror had fallen off of an upstairs wall, I telephoned a listed number for maintenance and was answered by an answering machine telling me to call another number, I called that number and it was an answering machine, so I telephoned the owner and he assured me that a maintenance guy would come out, which he did the next morning to rehang the Mirror. Whilst he was there I asked him to look at the heating, as it didn’t seem to be coming on, he reprogrammed the individual radiators. Unfortunately after he left the radiators never ever came on again, fortunately we never had a cold evening. The double bed we slept in had a hard lumpy mattress, but i’ve Slept on worse. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of cutlery, crockery and glasses. The town itself is about a 10 minute walk. The “Kings head” do a decent Sunday lunch, at a reasonable price.Overall we had a good holiday there and I could recommend a stay there, bearing in mind the above comments."

"Where to start. This has been the most perfect get away from it all short break . The house has exceeded all expectations and is just beautiful. Immaculately presented and so clean. All the little extra touches are so thoughtful (tea, coffee, the welcome cakes and biscuits, fresh milk in the fridge, a bottle of wine). Gorleston-on-Sea is very quaint. The beach is a short walk away and I have been able to walk my trusty pup on it a little further up daily. It’s very peaceful here, love the passing boats that can be seen from the balcony and bedroom windows. Visited the Doggy Diner for lunch. Great value, tasty, very welcoming and impossible to leave empty handed as they have a fab range of gifts & doggy treats. The fully equipped kitchen means however that it is just as easy to self cater. Will definitely be recommending 8 River Quay to all of my family & friends and will be looking to book another stay again next year. Leaving fully rested and with a head full of home interior inspiration."
