About this property

Positioned on the outskirts of Sedgeford in Norfolk, just a short drive away from the beach, is this lovely, two-bedroom home, Meadow View. Enjoying far-reaching views of the countryside, this pet-friendly accommodation makes an idyllic escape for a family of four and their pooch. On arrival be greeted by off-road parking before making your way inside to the entrance hallway, where you can leave your shoes and jackets after your journey. Discover the sitting room; here you can unwind on the sumptuous sofa flicker through the Smart TV for your favourite shows? Stepping through the property, you will find the well-appointed kitchen, with everything you need for a self-catered stay, including a dishwasher for a fuss-free clean-up. When dinner is served, gather in the dining room to tuck-into a feast or if the sun is shining, carry the conversation outside onto the patio seating. At the end of the garden, you can sit at the bench and admire the meadows before you and when the evening cools, retire inside, and climb upstairs for a soak in the beautiful freestanding bath. When sleep calls, choose between two charming bedrooms, a king-size with a Smart TV and a twin bedroom, which makes a great base for the little ones. Awaken with a hot shower on the ground-floor and make use of the washing machine to freshen up your holiday attire. Jump in the car to explore 100-acres of purple fields at Norfolk Lavender, bask in the sun on the sandy Heacham South Beach or test your swing at Heacham Manor Golf Club. To soak in the Norfolk coastline, visit the town of Hunstanton, where you can spend the afternoon marvelling at marine life at SEA LIFE, stroll along Old Hunstanton Beach, which is backed by sand dunes and fuel your excursions at a beachfront café. History buffs will be thrilled with a day at the market town of King's Lynn, home to Lynn Museum to unveil the past, the ruins of Castle Rising and the Grade I King's Lynn Minster. For all this and more, treat your loved ones to a stay at Meadow View.

Sedgeford, a few miles south of Hunstanton, is located within the Norfolk Coast aonb. There are traces of Roman structures, Iron Age artefacts, and Neolithic flint tools, indicating the village has been inhabited for generations, dating back to the Doomsday Book of 1086. The village has a village hall, two churches, a post office, and a hotel with a pub and restaurant, as well as the River Heacham flowing through it. The National Cycle Route 1 passes through Sedgeford, and the Peddars Way is close by and simple to reach for keen cyclists. Heacham, a 3 mile drive from the coast, has a wonderful assortment of shops, pubs, and restaurants, as well as a golf club and two beautiful sandy beaches.

The cottage is really comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The back garden is large and dog secure. It is located a 5 minute drive to a dog safe paddock (for hire) which is great if you have a nervous or reactive dog. It is a 10 minute drive to a lovely farm shop near Norfolk lavender and Lidl’s and it is a great base for birdwatching the north Norfolk coast. We hope to come back next year

It was quiet and peaceful. There was more than enough equipment, just lacking a cafetiere but that is our preference. We couldn't find a bulb to put into the light above the mirror in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and we both slept really well. We used the General Store in Ringstead which was very handy and interesting and friendly. Our dog loved exploring the garden. We had a meal in King William IV pub in Sedgeford, very nice and as so many places around ,was dog friendly. If we come to Norfolk again would have no hesitation in booking Meadow View.

The fabulous well enclosed rear garden was ideal for our dog, and the location was perfect for exploring beautiful North Norfolk. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, it is situated in a very peaceful location just outside the lovely village of Sedgeford. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate in recommending this property.
