"The cottage is very nice and well looked after as was the pool, the Kitchen is very well equipped which is great for a self catering holiday. There is an enclosed patio area which was great for the children and there was somewhere for them to run around. However when we booked the cottage it said there was wifi, which we needed and unfortunately you could only get service (including phone service!!) at the pool, which is not practical. The pool is attached to the Owners house and whilst they are very nice people we were a little bit uncomfortable walking past their living room every time we used the pool. The pool had no drainage which makes it very slippy for small children. The bedroom layout was also not practical for us and this was not represented in the photos on the website. The smallest bedroom was right by the front door and next to the Kitchen and all the other bedrooms were at the other end of the cottage which was not suitable with small children we would not have been able to hear them if they called out and whilst we had a camera as there are no plug sockets in the walls in the little bedroom that made it exceptionally difficult to set the camera up. I would say that the cottage is not practical for families with small children needing 2 bedrooms or families taking additional adults as the bedroom layout isn't great. It feels like a 4 person cottage, trying to be a 6 person cottage, and I think if the photos were more representative of the layout renters would be able to assess wether it was suitable for their needs."

"For us this was an excellent choice of holiday cottages and we will definitely be returning. The cottage was comfortable with plenty of space for our needs. We loved the privacy of the courtyard and the fact that our grandchildren could skip or run their cars out there while we sat and read, or had a glass of wine and even when it had rained the courtyard was very quickly dry. The beds were comfortable and we managed happily to get the wifi signal on most days, but being Norfolk, the signal was not always strong. It didn't affect our situation at all, so there was no problem. We found that the location was good because we were in a less crowded rural area than the coastal towns and villages, yet nowhere was too far to travel to. The pool was the icing on the cake. It was warm; perfect in fact, especially at the beginning of the week. We all spent a great deal of time swimming or sitting in the comfortable armchairs reading a book in a lovely warm atmosphere. The rain outside didn't bother us at all. The owners were helpful, pleasant and very accommodating. A helpful suggestion would be that we would have liked a small selection of dvd's, books or board games for rainy days, although we did actually take our own, but know that the children, especially, find unfamiliar games more appealing. It would also be good to read some personal recommendations of good local places to eat or visit. Many thanks to the owners, for their hospitality and attention to detail."

"I have given ten for all the categories because that it how we saw it. I know we weren't near the coast but we didn't want to be. We were centrally situated for all areas. The cottage suited us beautifully. It was quiet and peaceful in its rural setting and we didn't feel the crushing effects of the crowded coastal holiday areas. The pool was fantastic and we used it twice daily for a couple of hours at a time. It was warm and the owners were obliging and didn't mind the squealing of my grandchildren as they were having so much fun. The cottage was immaculate and the facilities well suited to our needs. The south facing courtyard was private and enjoyable. We have been before and will go again. It was an excellent venue for our summer holiday. Can't wait to return."

"Although this cottage has good facilities in terms of a pool and a tennis court the cottage itself needs some TLC and felt generally grubby. It was in need of decoration and had clearly seen better days. The bedding and towels were clean and well laundered but the rest of the cottage needed a thorough clean. There were cobwebs on the ceiling and throughout and the drawers under the bed were full of dust (so we were unable to store our clothes there). There was dirt on the skirting boards and it looked like nothing was ever pulled out to clean properly. The kitchen surfaces and sink were clean but the drawers and cupboards needed a good clean. Overall good facilities but not sure I'd return because of the level of cleanliness."

"My family had an amazing time at Heron - a week wasn't really long enough. The beds were comfy, the sofas too. The kitchen was well appointed and even a small bottle of milk and some tea and coffee to wet our whistle when we first arrived. The little boat/Dinghy was a big hit with the boys - and it enabled a little bit of mummy time, sitting by the water or in the sunny courtyard with a glass of something chilled. Heaven. The pool was not quite as warm as we would have liked, but still a very nice addition to the holiday. Angie and team were very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend the cottages and will be visiting again"
