"What a fantastic holiday. This is a spacious and stunning accommodation with spectacular views for miles. The photos on the web site do not do the barn justice when we arrived it was late (don’t follow your sat nav) we were warmly welcomed by Dai and Mandy and a fantastic welcome pack. The Barn was immaculate the finish of the property its décor the design fixtures and fittings are of a very high quality, especially the beds/ mattresses making a good night’s sleep possible. The kitchen is amazing very well equipped with quality appliances, we enjoyed preparing and cooking while we socialised with the family or watched my choice of program on the very large Sky TV screen this made self-catering a joy. Sky TV in each room meant everyone had somewhere to relax and when we came together there was peace. The farm is a great place for the children to be shown around and Dai is only too happy to. Meet Bella the larges pet pig I have ever seen. There’s plenty of space for children to play safely with off road walks and cycle tracks to burn up energy. The very large Jacuzzi cabin with choice of radio, lights, steam, and all types of shower options was a big hit with all. The local pub is warm and welcoming to all including children, limited draught but very tasty well worth a visit. A pair of binoculars recommended for the many different birds especially birds of prey some red kites that fly continually around the valley. It rained for most of our holiday but it never stopped us having a fantastic time. There are lots to see and plenty of local places to visit or further afield Thanks to Dai and Mandy for making this a great holiday accommodation and being so helpful. "

"<strong>Lovely property, very welcoming, cosy and nicely furnished</strong>, had everything we needed for our break. Situated just past the hotel and nice large secure parking area. Beautiful surroundings with fantastic views from the lounge window. A really nice weekend. The owner was also very helpful as he told us about a Rally that was on the day of our journey and suggested we could arrive a little earlier than we had first arranged so as to arrive whilst still light, very much appreciated, as was the Bara Brith and tea bags, very nice touch after the long drive<br /> <br /> Recommend the visit to Devils Bridge, well worth the money and nice and quiet at this time of year, we only saw about 5 people during our walk so nice to stop off and appreciate the view without feeling we were slowing people up. The Hafod hotel was very welcoming and they were very pet friendly. Their food menu looked good so we had planned to eat there on the Saturday but we were spoilt by the ice-cream and fish and chips from Aberaeron, a lovely town that is also worth the visit."

"Loved the property, one of the best we have stayed at. Didn't use the external facilities so can't comment on them, lovely friendly owners. Loved the walks up the mountains pass the ponds full of fish, very relaxing lodge but not as secluded as we thought but lovely, quiet and relaxing, Everything you could need was provided, was super clean, and very comfy, felt like we were home. Loved the gas cooker as all the others we stayed at are electric so extra points for that. Loved the way the lodge was set out and well made. Would love to be able to buy it lol Loved the squirrels, and the birds were so friendly you could stroke them. Would definitely recommend to others and will go back for a longer stay. 10 out of 10. "

"A brilliant property, we will definitely return! Unfortunately it is so good there is little availability due to the number of returning visitors - and we hope to be some of them. It was absolutely ideal for us, having a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor and an en-suite bedroom upstairs. It is surprising how few properties have this flexibility. It was immaculately clean and comprehensively equipped, with lots of thoughtful touches. I have used Original cottage group previously and they have always been highly efficient. The property was so good I hesitate to recommend it as it may effect availability for our future visits! ( it was absolutely brilliant)"

"We enjoyed our time in top barn it's in a lovely location with amazing views. It's a little isolated but that didn't bother us. The farm is a little untidy but our kids loved the dogs chickens that wondered round. Also the pig in the barn and the friendly farmer who let them feed some lambs and took them up to the top field to see the animals. The only downside was the noise from the apartment underneath. It didn't stop us having a good time though and we would return. Elan Valley is amazing and has some beautiful scenery and well worth a visit. Also Llandrindod Wells is nice to visit the lake and the park."
