Guests enjoy the peaceful setting, wildlife, and the hot tub, with many appreciating the thoughtful touches like Prosecco. While most reviews are positive, a few mention issues with TV and slippery decking.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge receives consistent commendations for its immaculate condition and cleanliness, with multiple guests noting it is furnished and maintained to a very high standard.

The location is celebrated for its tranquillity and beautiful scenery, with guests enjoying the riverside setting and local wildlife. However, some noted limited activities in the immediate area.

Comfort is a highlight, with guests finding the beds and sofas very comfortable and the lodge cosy, especially with the log burner. A few guests mentioned the beds being a bit small for taller individuals.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen standing out. However, there were some concerns about the TV not working and the decking being slippery.

Guests frequently mention the thoughtful gestures such as a bottle of Prosecco and other welcome gifts, which add to the enjoyment of their stay. While these gifts are warmly received, they are not guaranteed for every visit.

Every comfort and need had been thoughtfully catered for. Even a beautifully decorated Christmas tree and fairy lights on the decking made us feel cosy and Christmassy. The contacts answering our queries were very patient, courteous and knowledgeable. We did struggle without internet access, as everything is online nowadays. The draw full of brochures gave some information, but we could've investigated the area more had we had access to maps to find local eateries, petrol stations etc. Overall a thoroughly amazing break. A real Christmas treat. Worth every penny. Thank you.
