"Wet room was damp and smelt so bad, the door was kept shut and we didn't use it. Outside the wet room the wooden floor wS soft because of water damage. The windows were that streaky it was hard to see out and were in desperate need of a good clean. Taps on the bath fell off if touched. The owners have a cat which insists on entering the property whenever it can. The few hot days we had we couldn't open the door or windows because the cat would get in. Even managed to get comfortable in my car as we unpacked! The dining table was that grimy it was sticky. The three piece had seen better days it was impossible to sit in comfort. One of the children's toys went behind the three piece, to my horror when it was moved there was a use tampax and what I first thought was a dead mouse. Turned out to be a cat toy, however the other object was disgusting. Sky TV did not pick up any channels apart from Welsh speaking ones or news! Beeb 1,2 ITV anything else forget it! The hot was full of products to kill germs it smelt worse than swimming baths and I suspect never gets changed. Oh and the hot tub was always strangely cold?? The patio furniture consisted of one wooden picnic table which was falling apart the kids playground was old and worn. The washing line was nearly completely collapsed. Think you get the picture by now, would I return? No, but the area we stayed had breath taking scenery so would return to Wales."

"It was perfect for our 16 month old and we felt relaxed and like it was home from home. The hot tub and the views from it were amazing, we would highly recommend time in the hot tub in the evening with the amazing starry sky - hardly any light pollution! We loved the super king bed & will miss that lots. Half way through the week we were asked how things were which was good. The WiFi was great, especially as we didn’t get phone signal. The games room was freezing so we didn’t venture into it, but the heating in the rest of the place was perfect and it was quick to heat. We visited The Ela Valley many times, Devil’s bridge and Gilfach nature reserve. We also did lots of green laning in the Landry. We organised a Tesco delivery! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and loved it being so remote and quiet. Was definitely one of these best holidays we have had. The only negatives were that it didn’t have much personal touch like a guest book or reccommendation book. We also did not meet Carl the owner and that might have been nice. He wasn’t great at responding to texts in the lead up to our stay. The smart tv was fab but we couldn’t really watch it as streaming was too slow. Nothing major, a brilliant stay and we will definately be back!!!"

"Travelled with family of mixed ages (8 through to 74) and all had a wonderful stay. The cottage was decorated to a very high standard and all facilities on site were as described. The location was quite rural, and it took us a couple of attempts to find the right access road, but this just added to the adventure. We were also advised of this beforehand so there were no surprises. The village itself is very small and doesn't have any shops but the small town of Tregaron was only a 10 minute drive away and had a Spar which was handy for break, milk, etc. and a lovely takeaway. The kids loved the outdoors area behind the cottage although this is probably quite weather dependent. They loved the large hot tub though in all weathers. Aberystwyth is only a 35 minute drive away if you need more civilisation and has all the usual high street chains, supermarkets, etc. and was nice for a trip to the seaside for an ice-cream and arcades, etc. Would also highly recommend a trip to Devil's Bridge to see the waterfalls and explore. I would highly recommend the property for those who don't mind the rural location and would definitely stay again."

"A very special Christmas (For health reasons) with both our sons and their families.Six adults and four grandchildren.Bedrooms for all with separate bathrooms for each family.A small cosy room with a TV ideal for the kids to go and watch or play whilst we chatted around the log burner (only lit for ambiance, not needed for heating). The underfloor heating worked very well although I suspect in really cold weather it may need the log burner also. The large room was excellent for eating and the kitchen area very well equipped. The owners had put up a Christmas tree and left a delightful Christmas cake (a nice touch).Back garden ideal for letting the two dogs in and a walk in the owners field above the cottage proved to be more like a swamp given the amount of rain we had in December (The dogs enjoyed it).Plenty of room out front for the children to play with their new toys (Scooters, bike). All in all excellent.Eldest and only grandson actually asked if we could come again, only for longer next time."

"I booked the Old Court House as a last minute break for the family, and on arrival we were not dissapointed. The old cells are still in place which the kids found facinating. I advise anyone who is thinking about booking this accommodation to do it, dont mess around, you will not regret it. We ordered our groceries from Tesco and they arrived at the time slot we booked, this saved us loadibg the car with food. Rhayader has many fine eating places and there is a pub opposite which can be loud on a Saturday but all quiet from 12.30am. Aberystwyth is a good 1 hour drive with Cardiff being reached in around 2 hours. We did not park the car as suggested by the owner as the street was not very well lit, we used the street directly opposite without any problem or issue. Book and Enjoy."
