"This was a very spacious, well equipped house which was great for our family of 8 adults and two children (aged 4 and 6). However there were a number of things which I feel need to be brought to your attention. The whirlpool bath did not work and my phone call to the owner regarding this was left unanswered. The carpet in one of the rooms which joined to make the family room were rather stained and a clump of hair was found on the shower wall tiles. The dishwasher was not cleaning very well so I examined the filter which was very clogged and had to be thoroughly cleaned. I also had to replenish the salt and rinse aid. I was made aware that I would be expected to furnish my own dishwasher tablets but did not expect to provide the salt and rinse aid. A torch was provided but did not work. In addition there was no way to control the heating. On a number of evenings we were a little chilly but had no way to increase the temperature. We had been warned not to touch the radiator thermostats as this might result in the heating going off. There were an unnecessarily large number of notices warning about the downstairs electric toilet. The toilet seat in the bathroom was broken which meant it kept slipping. There was no information regarding recycling and the main bin which was already half full on the Friday was not emptied on the Wednesday. However there was a note saying the materials for recycling should be properly sorted and it was obvious that there were not the correct number of recycling bins. These might seem small things but when paying premium rates they are details that I think should be ironed out. On a more positive note, the welcome pack was generous and much appreciated and the location was great for walking and exploring the surrounding area."

"The accomodation was a good size, well equipped and comfortable. Met expectations and comparable to similar accommodation I have stayed in on other sites. The cleanliness was not as good as it should have been - the windows were very dirty externally and also internally in places. I know this has been reported in other reviews previously in the weeks prior to my stay so clearly had not been acted upon. There were also areas that were quite dusty (I.e behind TVs). Having witnessed one of the cleaning teams in the accommodation opposite on one change over day - playing music and sat on the sofa using their mobile phone....I suspect they are given enough time to clean properly - perhaps some follow up spot checks are required by their manager?"

"Wonderful house. Very luxurious and well equipped. Spacious and lovely furnishings. We celebrated my 70 birthday with two families, grandchildren and a sister from the Netherlands. We all loved it. One draw back is the road just along the cottage; noisy and busy at certain times. We were there at the end of October for a long weekend and did not sit outside or have windows open at night, but that may be a minor issue. The four grand children loved it and we hardly saw them except for family meal times around a large table. We did long walks on the Mendip and Cheddar Gorge and visited the beautiful city of Wells. It was a perfect house for my special day."

"Lovely house, extremely comfortable and well maintained. It was in a good location with attractions such as Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury etc being easily accessible. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and had a good sized dining area. The only negatives were that there was insufficient toilet roll provided and the parking was a bit awkward - we had 5 cars between us which only just fitted in the parking area and we had to utilise the two garages to manage this. However, overall we had a lovely stay here."

"WE felt that the lodge was looking a bit tired and need of some up dating .the lodge was very small but there was just two of us it slept 6 it would be very cramped . The shower had some mould in the corner something im sure the cleaners should have reported.the kitchen units and tops were a but battered and in need of some tlc .I burnt my fingers on the oven door as the safety glass was missing off it .It was clean enough tough. Its in a lovley place so it was great to get out and explore the area ."
