" We are just home from our long weekend break at Christmas Cottage and we all had such a fantastic time! Addingham village is lovely, although such a shame that the pub right across the road was recently burnt down as we had heard how nice it was and we're looking forward to a visit. The lady who owns Christmas Cottage has created a little gem of a holiday let, and has thought of every last detail. In our party, there were 4 adults and 2 infants under the age of 2. We were initially a but apprehensive about sleeping arrangements, but we were very lucky that the babies were able to share their own room so that us mums and dads could get a few peaceful nights sleep! The cottage comes complete with all the mod cons you could think of - even a hand blender which was very handy for blitzing some soup :) The only thing we could think of which might enhance the stay of future young families would be the provision of a travel cot and a high chair. We were fortunate enough to have room in the car to bring them with us, but it would have been an extra bonus had they been provided. Addingham is a great base for exploring the Dales and other neighboring towns. Ilkley looked really lovely in particular, although we just didn't have enough time to explore it properly. Maybe when we come back, we'll sample some delights from the famous Betty's Tea Rooms! "

"We stayed in winter. Quite a compact four-bedroom house with what looks like an attractive garden that is not overlooked. Good modern bathroom upstairs and smaller but functional shower room downstairs. The cosy lounge has an open fire that functions reasonably well though the wood store is a bit open to the elements so the logs can do with stacking around the hearth for drying out. It is a 5 minute walk to the bottom of the old town, ten up to the top and down to the station. Haworth has nine pubs, most pretty different from each other in style. There are also several restaurants, a parsonage and a variety of manageable walks. The butchers, on the way towards the town is a small general store and a useful resource. Only one off-road parking spot but plenty of spaces nearby. The DVD player is museum material. There is a good wi-fi connection. Excellent support from the property's minders."

"Charming hosts and a beautiful cottage with all modern conveniences in a quiet and relaxing setting. Definitely Five Star rating from us and the resident wildlife was a nice bonus. You can watch the baby rabbits playing on the lawn, squirrels chasing each other from tree to tree, ring neck pheasants stroll across the grass, a pair of grey legged partridges visit daily and a beautiful little roebuck came to visit on his dainty hooves. The usual garden birds and a song thrush serenaded us each day. All this coupled with good fast Wi-fi and mobile reception to keep in touch with the commercial world. The best of both worlds! This holiday cottage is a little gem on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and a credit to the owners."

"73 Sun Street is a gem of a cottage with plenty of room and very well equipped. Sharing with friends you never felt cramped.A lovely touch was the real fire being laid ready to light and all fuel for it included. An easy walk into Haworth and its history but far enough out to be peaceful. The garden is excellent to watch the bird life.Just 2 little things, the main (kingsize) bedroom only has blinds, it needs curtains to cut out light from the street and early morning light. Whilst there is off road parking to the front, even reversing in you have no visibility to the right until you are well out onto the road which is thankfully quiet. Park across the road or use the garage down the road. This does not deflect from a wonderful cottage"

"Great cottage had everything we needed. The bedrooms and en-suite were great. Lovely and warm. The welcome pack was wonderful. Tea, coffee milk in the fridge. With local cheeses. Which I have to say were that nice i went to the shop and brought some to take home. Croissants, jam little chocolate and crackers for cheese. All a great touch. The views were spectacular. The pub was a 10 minute walk away. Which served great food. The owners who lives next door were there for any questions but they were not overbearing. . Only give the cottage a 9 on comfort because all of us said the beds were to hard. Thats a personal opinion, the next person might like a hard bed."
