About this property

Jaret House is a real gem of a holiday retreat with its spacious lounge, dining and breakfast rooms, well equipped kitchen and four en-suite bedrooms. Attractive decoration, comfortable furnishings and even a glowing log burning stove say it all. Sit on the little terrace with your breakfast and watch village life go by. Wander up to 'High Nelly's' for a scrumptious lunch. The Merchant's Yard restaurant is great for an evening meal.

Close to the centre of picturesque Tideswell the house's location is just great. This is one of the best Peak District villages with its range of local shops, a small supermarket, three cafes, two fish and chip shops and three great pubs. Walks and cycle ways radiate in all directions, out across the Peaks where the views are fantastic or along leafy Water Cum Jolly Dale where the river Wye splashes down the valley.

This is the very heart of the Peak District with its magnificent countryside, yet you will be tempted by lots of other attractions. Buxton with its famous Opera House is great. Castleton with its Blue John caverns is unique. Have a picnic at Great Hucklow and watch the para-gliders floating by. Chatsworth House and mellow Bakewell, famed for its puddings, are just as close.
