Guests say

Rosie Cottage is frequently praised for its cleanliness, cosy comfort, and beautiful surroundings. Guests have enjoyed the local pubs and eateries, with some specifically recommending places for dining. The cottage's location offers convenient access to hiking trails and the Lakes, with stunning views that contribute to a peaceful stay. While most feedback is positive, a few guests noted issues with heating and the proximity to a busy road.

The majority of guests have highlighted the cottage's cleanliness, often describing it as 'lovely and clean' or 'spotlessly clean'. There was, however, a single mention of dissatisfaction regarding cleanliness on arrival, which slightly impacts the overall high score.

The location is generally well-regarded for its proximity to local attractions and natural beauty. However, some guests expressed concerns about the cottage being close to a busy road and the difficulty of walking safely from the property. These mixed reviews result in a good but not excellent score.

Guests have found the cottage to be cosy and comfortable, with comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere. There were a few negative comments regarding the heating not being on upon arrival and the need for a starter kit for the stove, which slightly lowers the score.

The cottage is generally considered well-equipped and tidy, with a well-received welcome pack mentioned by several guests. However, there were comments about the lack of heating upon arrival and the absence of soap and shampoo, indicating room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While some guests appreciated the welcome pack, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful touches or gifts to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such amenities are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

Lovely cottage in a great location for exploring the Northern Lakes. Walking distance to the local pub (just a short bit on the slightly busy B road) and easy to get into Keswick and Cockermouth.

A very nice , clean and comfortable cottage. The views from the courtyard across the fields to Skiddaw were lovely. Not the easiest to locate even though it was above and backed onto the A591. Near to a bus stop ( 400m ) if you wanted to go into Keswick or Cockermouth without the car.

The cottage is situated in a beautiful setting, close to 2 public houses albeit the closest one closed for Christmas. It has beautiful views and many walks close by including Catbells which is ideal for all the family only a few minutes drive away.
