About this property

A luxurious three bedroom bungalow with stunning views and a Jacuzzi just one mile from the blue-flagged beach of Portreath.

A stunning panoramic view over the Cornish countryside near Portreath awaits all guests to this luxurious, detached, three bedroom cottage. One of just 13 other properties spread out on a hillside surrounded by open fields, Greenmount has been built with relaxation in mind. A Jacuzzi next to the patio at the front takes in the countryside, iconic local engine houses and the impressive Carn Brea monument and castle; providing the perfect back drop for enjoying an evening meal in. And while you feel like you are in the heart of the Cornish countryside, you're only one mile from the spectacular Blue Flag, life-guarded beach of Portreath and just two from the historic mining town of Redruth with its local produce shops, supermarket, train stations and high street shops.

If you wish to explore further from your door, Greenmount is ideally located to reach several of Cornwalls must see places. The quaint village of St Agnes with its two beaches, cute gift shops and award winning pubs and restaurants is only 5 miles away The popular harbour town of St Ives is 8 miles away where you can browse the galleries and craft shops and enjoy several breath-taking beaches; and for those looking for more hustle and bustle, the cathedral city of Truro, packed with high street shops, bars and restaurants but still maintaining its Cornish charm, is only 12 miles distant.

Greenmount is accessible to the rest of Cornwall with a variety of transport links to help you make the most of your holiday. Local buses link Portreath and Redruth from the bottom of the lane near the house, while the main First Great Western line runs through nearby Redruth. The more active traveller can hop on a bicycle hired from the reception area and enjoy the popular coast to coast cycle track which passes extremely closeby on its way from Devoran Creek to Portreath Harbour. Walkers will be delighted with the myriad of public footpaths and bridleways running near to the cottage - especially the South West Coast Path taking you past ancient engine houses, across rolling hills and along stunning cliff paths.

Guests to the cottage can also take advantage of special rates to play golf, enjoy sailing or leisure boating, go horse riding, experience the adrenaline rush of coasteering, kite surfing or give bodyboarding, paddle boarding or surfing a try nearby. A beauty therapist is on hand to offer facials, hair treatments, manicures and pedicures; while a registered babysitter can be pre-booked to give couples the chance to enjoy an evening out. There is also the opportunity to go fishing and food foraging with Benedict Quinn, enjoy pop up events on site such as barbeque and pizza evenings or simply borrow a good book, dvd or game from the reception for a quiet night in.

Greenmount itself is extremely family friendly with a contemporary open-plan living room/kitchen/diner enjoying views to the front over the surrounding countryside. There are three bedrooms - two with double beds and one with 2ft 6 zip '' n '' link to a king upon request, an en-suite shower room and family bathroom. Outside, again overlooking the countryside, there is a Jacuzzi, patio and grassy area with wooden seating and private parking for two cars.
