Holiday Cottages in Padstow

For a holiday that’s a wonderful blend of quirky traditions and modern amenities, booking one of our Padstow Cottages should be at the top of your list. On the face of it, Padstow is a working fishing port with old-school charm and rustic character. Dig a little deeper and you’ll find that this chocolate-box town has plenty to offer visitors, no matter what your interests might be.

Courtesy of Rick Stein, Padstow has become something of a hotspot for foodies. His restaurant showcases local fishing and farming in delicious dishes served in classy surroundings. You’ll also find Jamie Oliver’s restaurant nearby, so you won’t have far to go to enjoy a special night out. Celebrity-run restaurants aside, most of our Padstow Cottages are within easy reach of some lovely pubs and inns and, of course, the ubiquitous chippies. But, if fish isn’t your dish, keep an eye out for the local pasties, widely-hailed as the ‘best in the west’.

What can I do on my holiday to Padstow?

If you’re a wildlife enthusiast, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Cornwall’s temperate waters attract dolphins and seals and there are plenty of skippered trips to see them without getting too close and disturbing their natural behaviour. The Cornish coast has even been known to host a whale or two, and even, on occasion, a great white shark!

As you’re by the sea, you might as well plonk yourself on one of the stunning beaches in the area - Chidley Pumps, Trevone and Harlyn beaches are all worth a visit. Sporting types might like to try their hand at surfing and there are plenty of surf schools in the area. Booking one of our holiday cottages in Padstow puts you within easy reach of all this and much more.

For those who’ve booked one of our holiday cottages in Padstow for the whole tribe, there are plenty of attractions for kids. The ‘Obby ‘Oss Festival Museum gives a superb insight into the eccentric side of Cornwall, while a trip to the National Lobster Hatchery is both informative and entertaining. If a cycle or a walk along the Camel Trail looks a bit too daunting, your little ones can still burn of some energy at the Camel Trail Adventure Park. Alternatively, Newquay Zoo is a great way to spend a day with the family.

About Padstow

What our customers are saying about our holiday cottages in padstow to rent.

  1. Mr D M Evans

"I cannot recommend Padstow or S42953 highly enough. We love the beaches in and around Padstow and it is an ideal holiday destination if you have a dog. Our spaniel loves to swim and the Camel estuary is so safe that she has a great time. The ferry to Rock is so convenient and means even more fabulous beaches are easily accessible. An afternoon finishing off with a 'pint' at The Mariners at Rock comes highly recommended! There are great places to eat and drink at Padstow and, for a small town, it offers an array of interesting shops. You can park the car and not use it again if you are happy with walking along the many walks. S42953 is a small, modern house and is in a lovely setting about 15 minutes walk from the town centre. It is a lovely cottage furnished to a very high standard with a subtle seaside 'feel'. Helga, its owner, always welcomes guests with enthusiasm and refreshments including a bottle of wine! We will definitely use it again."

"S42953 was a clean, well maintained property, fully equipped to the max. Comfortable beds and very clean throughout with a nice courtyard to the rear- very animal friendly. Our dog was allowed anywhere in the property and covers were provided but we also took our own to prevent any accidents. Helga was on hand to meet and see us at the end of our holiday- I think she is lovely and easy to get along with. Thank you."

"This was The cleanest property I have ever been to and I have been to many. Everything is catered for . Helga the owner met us with the key and made it extra special with all the little treats that was left for both us and our Golden Retriever. We have been to padstow several times so know this property is walking distance to Tesco and Padstow town and beach. We will definitely be back to this property. "

"Thank you Helga for such a lovely welcome for our Christmas & New Year stay - you completely spoilt us as always. The cottage was beautifully decorated with Christmas touches. We have had such a lovely week in Padstow and the dog has enjoyed her daily beach visits and we have enjoyed watching the high waves and ever changing scenery. Sad to be leaving but already planning our next trip. Thank you"

"This is our second time at S42653, we love the property and the location. Francis the owner is so helpful from the cream tea on arrival to joining us in the local for quiz night, it is our second visit to S42653 we can not recommended this property more highly. The location is excellent for long (and short) coastal walks, a complete escape from the world. perfect !"
