". well we was truly taken back when we arrived and took a look around the place! The views are absolutely amazing, I genuinely believe you would have a lot of trouble finding somewhere with a nicer view set, there was chairs and a table to sit and eat at while you enjoy the view and also some nice comfy sun bathing type chairs also. Inside was just as nice with a very spacious living room, kitchen and bedrooms which was a pleasure to be in and well equipped. We managed to stumble across a town fair whilst we was there exploring also which is probably the highlight of the holiday, everyone was so kind and welcoming which made it even nicer. We didn’t want to come home! I will absolutely be booking this place again in the future but probably for a longer stay!"

"The holiday cottage was lovely with wooden worktops and all the kitchen equipment you need was helpful! Couple of issues were the fact that the “hot tub” isn’t a hot tub, it’s a lazy spa. Though the addition of a lazy spa was lovely in the evenings the whole reason we booked this cottage was because of the hot tub so we’re a little disappointed. Also the disconnected aga which we couldn’t use just smelt of oil all the time. Other than that the cottage was lovely and well presented. Comfy beds with soft pillows (even if they were a little too thin for my personal liking). Location was lovely but very remote and if your not a confident driver then this is not the cottage for you!"

"We had a lovely break at the cottage over the bank holiday weekend. The cottage is in a beautiful spot standing on its own away from the farm house. It was really cosy inside especially with the log burning fire. Both bedrooms were very comfortable and beautifully furnished. There were plenty of towels and toiletries available in the bathroom and the downstairs shower room was very handy. Irene and Melvyn were lovely hosts and always on hand if we needed anything or in advising us where to visit to make the most of our all too brief stay. This really was a great location for a retreat yet a handy base to tour the local area and attractions. We will definitely return in the near future."

"We stayed as a group of museum designers so need the space and the 3 separate bathrooms for privacy. It’s roomy, comfortable has a wonderful kitchen to prepare meals, Mick & Sue have provided all the equipment you need. It was perfect for us to come back to in the evenings relax & enjoy a drink watching the sky change the landscape. It’s a little remote so you need to prepare what you need to shop for but we were happy to collect our food etc on the way home and cook for ourselves. Plenty of shops to choose to drive out to and perfect to get away from it all and just relax. We didn’t get a chance to experience the area much but the lodge was a real find! Thank you"

"What a beautiful cottage and beautiful views, very well equipped, comfortable and just the place to have a relaxing break. The owners, Ruth and Christopher were very welcoming and offered information on local places to visit and there is also a comprehensive file of places to eat and visit. We travelled to Pistyll Y Rhaeadr, Llangollen, Shrewsbury, Chirk, Lake Vyrnwy, Bala Lake and a few other places, everywhere is so central from the cottage, brilliant! On our arrival a bottle of wine was in the fridge, a freshly baked loaf (which was gorgeous), Scones and Eggs. I will be recommending this cottage to all my friends and family. Thank you xx"
