The local pub proximity and the natural beauty of the area enhance the experience, making it a recommended retreat for relaxation and exploration.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests describe the chalet as spotless and clean, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. One review mentioned the place felt 'grubby', but this seems to be an isolated opinion.

The location is consistently praised for its beauty and tranquillity, with a river, wildlife, and proximity to local pubs and nature trails. The scenic views and peaceful environment are highlights for many guests.

Guests find the chalet comfortable, with a cosy bed and recliner sofa. However, a few reviews noted the compact size and limited space in the bedroom and bathroom, which affected the comfort level for some.

The chalet is well-equipped with kitchen amenities, Wi-Fi, and a secure garden. Some guests suggested improvements in seating comfort and kitchen storage, while others were satisfied with the facilities provided.

While many reviews express gratitude towards the owner for his helpfulness and kind gestures, such as offering a free weekend stay, there is no specific mention of gifts provided. Therefore, it cannot be confirmed if gifts are a regular feature of the hospitality.

About this property

A delightfully cosy, detached cedar wood cabin, one of a group of nine, situated at the head of the River Tanat, in the pretty village of Llangynog. Offering lovely, contemporary and stylish accommodation, surrounded by the Berwyn Mountains, and boasting stunning riverside views, this cabin provides an ideal base for a couple seeking that romantic, get-away-from-it-all break. It's so tranquil here, you can enjoy the sound of the river running past, and take in the stunning views from the paved patio, while dining alfresco or simply relax with a glass of something on the lawned area which overlooks the River Tanat, after a busy day exploring. This lovely cottage offers open plan accommodation and boasts a large picture window overlooking the patio and river with a comfortable en-suite double bedroom. Only an hour from the magnificent beaches of the Cambrian Coast, and a short distance from the start of the Snowdonia National Park, this pretty cottage is an ideal base. There is plenty of walking, cycling, fishing and watersports in the region to enjoy if you are the more active person, alternatively you can simply unwind by the riverside and potter around the lovely local area. The cottage is also within easy reach of the fabulous Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall and Lake Vyrnwy. A lovely cosy romantic cottage for a couple to be enjoyed all year round.

The pleasant village of Llangynog lies in breathtaking countryside amidst the beautiful Berwyn Mountains and surrounding wooded hills and valleys. The area has a history of lead, silver and slate mining dating back to the 17th Century but today it is a renowned location for climbing, birdwatching, walking and cycling, with famous mountain bike trails near Dolgellau, and a mountain bike centre at Llandegla.

The property is small, but has everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, nice recliner sofa to relax in the evening after a day of exploring! Nice little garden and patio area to sit out in the sun, with the river flowing just outside. The shower didn't have the best water, but it was ok. Overall, a very pleasant stay! Thank you!

Just what a holiday is for. Kevin was an excellent host and even arranged the gorgeous weather !! The surrounding mountains, lakes and villages were stunning. First time in Wales but not the last. Can't recommend it enough. Derek & Mandy Beverley
