What our customers say about their holidays

    • Ms E - Verified booking

It was like staying in someone's much loved pied a terre by the sea. The cottage is cosy and homely and has everything you need (apart from parking outside). The beds and bedding were very comfortable - I slept so well, the shower great, decent loo roll. I cooked for much of the week as the kitchen was well equipped. It is 10 steps from Staithe street hence the parking, and I parked at the Buttlands for most of the week for free. It was good to have ideas for walks, and local books to read. Note: the beds are not huge if you are used to King Sized! Very clean. You will hear people walking past in the alleyway outside the front door, but it was not disturbing and there is a bright light outside the front bedroom window so suggest an eye mask if you're used to full darkness for sleep. I'm already planning to return...Many thanks for your comments. Albert’s Cottage does have black out blinds which should block out any light pollution.

This was our third year staying at this beautiful fisherman's cottage with very comfortable beds. We were blessed with great weather again allowing us to sit out at the rear of the cottage for late afternoon drinks, a great little sun trap. The cottage has everything you could need for self catering. Very clean, no pets which is an attraction. All towels and linen clean and good quality. The stairs are a little awkward but typical for a fisherman's cottage and safely climbed if careful. The shower is very good, hot and powerful. 100% satisfied. A one minute walk if that to the shops. Wells is a great little seaside town. You will not be disappointed. Sadly not going next year

    • New Year Guests - Verified booking

Firstly thank you for the bubbly and mince pies and lovely Christmas decorations, we have stayed in many properties over the New Year and few owners make such an effort! Alberts Cottage exceeded our expectations despite all the great reviews! You seem to have thought of everything. New Year’s Eve was very quiet in the town with many events being ticket only but a local suggested we went to The Edinburgh Inn which turned out to be a great atmosphere with several generations partying with a DJ and everyone was really friendly. We had a lovely walk on the beach and it was very exciting to see the seals in the waters edge, an oystercatcher and grebe.
