We stayed in this beautiful house for four days, not nearly long enough. It is in a superb location just off the Quay, very close to all the restaurants,(itâs only a few doors along from the very popular Wells Crab house) shops, the small train and footpath to the beach and a stop for the excellent bus service. The house is detached and double fronted with a garden for barbecue and out door eating. Inside it is beautifully appointed, absolutely pristine and equipped with all you could possibly want. The beds are very comfortable and the shower most efficient. There is a great hideaway in the cellar with TV and table tennis and is splendid for keeping the young happy. We had most enjoyable holiday and would recommend this house to any group of ages.

We arrived on a Friday at 7pm...and left the following morning. This property was not fit to rent out. Several other reviews mention the issue of cleanliness, but it was much worse than we expected. Rusty outdoor furniture, rubbish everywhere, rusty kitchen pans, broken toilet seat, dirty worktops, a rotten entry door, stains all over the kitchen tablecloth, trust me I could go on! We complained to Original Cottages but after several phone calls they said they could not move us. They offered to send cleaners in but that would not solve the issues. It needs a deep clean and a lot of NEW equipment. We will be making a formal complaint. Shocking. (On a positive note the TV was OK and the bed we had to sleep in was comfortable!)

Thank you for a beautiful property in a wonderful location. Enjoyed drinks at The Globe and meals at The Crown and The Crab House, coffee and cakes at Fenspirits Larder, Little Pasty shop and Wells Gelato. Walks to Holkham and Holkham beach, bus to Morston and walk back via Stiffkey (plus a stop at Stiffkey Stores). Breakfast at Bang! and breakfast and pastries from The Two Magpies. The Nisa supermarket was fine for what we needed as were the butchers and grocers on Staithe Street. Adnams Shop and Norfolk Bottle Shop are good for the beer enthusiast. If you want/need a hat it's worth the short trip to Burnham Market on a wet Tuesday! In summary - no shortage of lovely things to do, places to go and things to see.

We loved Roof Top View. The house was beautiful, welcoming and extremely clean. It was also well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It has bathrooms aplenty, which was useful for our three generation group, and beds are comfortable with high quality bed linen. The position of the house is just on the outskirts of Wells-next-the-Sea and you donât need your car to get into the centre. I will admit to having quite a high bar for acceptable levels of luxury in my holiday rentals, and Roof Top View met it. We would love to go again. Three nights was just not enough to enjoy the house and explore all that North Norfolk has to offer.
