We visited Skirden View cottage for a home away from home trip with our dog.

We often eye up small cottages that have a modern feel, quiet sites and beautiful views, and this location was just the option we needed. We took full advantage of the hot tub facilities in the good weather, despite there being no covering over the hot tub, it was a beautiful view looking over the fields and the animals past the farm. The amenities and welcome hamper were so well thought out, and most items of household goods in the kitchen/living space were available, especially if you have booked a longer stay. We visited lots of the local pubs, especially the local, The Spread Eagle for a few meals. They were very welcoming, had a great variety of theme nights, good food/drink and dog friendly! If you are looking for somewhere to go for nice walks within a 30 minute drive, Bolton Abbey Ruins and Malham Cove (for any of you Harry Potter fans) were well worth the tough walks - make sure to bring walking boots! We would definitely look to come back to this location again, and thank the hosts for an amazing stay. Thank you!

We had a wonderful few weeks at 3 Clough Cottages while waiting for repairs to our house.

The place was so comfortable and tastefully furnished in beautiful colour schemes, with charming furniture, artwork and soft furnishings in a modern feel house despite being inside a former pub. The main kitchen and dining area was very well equipped and had a large walk in utility room. The separate large lounge with its two comfortable sofas, three lamps and large TV was a very relaxing space to chill in the evenings. The master bedroom was very comfortable and the bathrooms were done in gorgeous tiling. The lighting throughout was excellent with many options. The surrounding area is perfect for long country walks or runs including the Tolkien Trail. There is some road noise being on the main road but it didn’t affect us at all. The owners were extremely helpful to us. We would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely fabulous property, without doubt one of the best we have stayed at.

Clearly a lot of thought has been put in by the owners to ensure the comfort of their guests. Fixtures and fittings were outstanding throughout with top quality on display in every room. The little extras such as the extensive welcome pack, fresh flowers and fluffy bathrobes and slippers provided that touch of luxury which was really appreciated. The views from the ceiling to floor doors were amazing constantly changing with the weather. Hot tub was the icing on the cake and a great way to relax at the end of the day. Cottage is in a fantastic, peaceful location but makes a great base with loads of brilliant visitor attractions within half an hour’s drive. Overall we had a tremendous week’s holiday at Skirden View and would have no hesitation coming back - very highly recommended.

Tilly’s Cottage is an absolute gem, we highly recommend it and most definitely will be back again!

The communication from Laura and Rich was fantastic, they provided so much helpful information about the cottage and surrounding area. We stayed for 3 nights with our two children and our dog. We found it so relaxing. The boys loved the games and toys and enjoyed playing in the enclosed garden with our dog. The cottage itself is stunning, really well presented and was very clean. We all found the beds very comfortable and enjoyed snuggling up in-front of the fire after walks along the beach. The location is brilliant, short walks to cafes, pub, shops and beach. Thank you so much for the little arrival treats also. 5 stars from us, we literally have no suggestions or complaints. We can’t wait to visit again soon. Many thanks, The Shawcross Family

      This was an excellent choice.

The cottage is in a really nice village in a great area for touring and visiting interesting places. Or walking in the countryside if that’s your thing. On entering the cottage you are struck by the size, cleanliness and extremely well presented furniture and equipment. It really is a first class property. There were five of us and we used the three bedrooms and three bathrooms! We were all impressed with our rooms and everyone found the beds to be sooo comfortable. The lounge was so inviting for our cosy evenings together. There was a welcome pack - what can I say - this was well over and above any expectations. The secure parking for two cars in the gated area was reassuring. Would we recommend this property, yes, yes, yes.
