What our customers say about their holidays

Booked this holiday 30th August until 6th Sept 2019.

.. Unfortunately we had to come home on the 3rd couldn't cope with accommodation any longer... The place was spotless and well equipped but not for the elderly or disabled like the property information led us to believe … Bedroom beautiful furnished with a King size bed … Bathroom lovely big walk in shower but no grab rail or Bath mat to step out onto and it was a wooden floor so very slippy … The lounge had a sofa and two chairs which were fine if you were young but we could not get up out of them they were so low and the sofa so soft … My husband had cancer surgery and follow up treatment so we thought this would be ideal for him … we resorted to sitting on hard kitchen type chairs to watch the tele not comfortable at all... Then to top it all we arrived Friday the 30th August and on Saturday morning 31st August the road had closed for 7 weeks … no diversion signs we had to keep going well out of our way to get anywhere we were not informed about this … I am not knocking The Old Stables it was spotless and well equipped like I previously said but needs some attention to make it more ideal for the elderly and disabled we paid out £436 pound for 3 days not happy we feel we were mis informed

      We really enjoyed our stay!

Hope Cottage was very comfortable and very well decorated with lovely colour schemes and home comforts. Immaculately clean and tidy. Every thing needed and more, for a short break (or longer stay). Nice touches with the bread, milk, prosecco and dog bowls and treats, much appreciated! Only additions to suggest would be provision of a sieve and a clothes horse! {known as a washing maiden in Lancs?!} For us personally, a double bed was a bit of a squeeze but it was our choice to book somewhere with a double bed but, as above in new immaculate condition. Neighbours polite and offered to be called on if required. Area lovely and quiet. One small issue with the heating was very pleasantly sorted out with a quick visit, and instructions given to reset the system if needed (which we did another couple of times during our stay). Thanks for being so prompt. Thank you for a lovely stay and we hope to visit and stay again in the future. Kind regards, Dave, Heather and Wilf Ryal : ) 24 - 28/11/23

A wonderful little bungalow which clearly has been renovated and presented to a great standard throughout, useful off road parking immediately in front of the property and a good back garden ideal for the dog especially late at night and early morning!

Excellent location for lovely dog walks next to the river Wyre and only 15 - 20 minutes for Blackpool centre. We were please with how the house was equipped, the lovely welcome items were also much appreciated too. Of course the property is bijou and whilst for us all was fine, perhaps those older or with some mobility issues may struggle with the bed in terms of the space either side of it when getting in and out, but once in it was very comfortable indeed. A accessible bathroom, well equipped kitchen and cosy lounge. We enjoyed our stay a great deal, thank you for presenting such a wonderfully clean property, the neighbours were also lovely and baked some cakes for us too as well as taking a shine to our German Shepherd!

-Does not state property is the back of a garden centre - Patio not closed off between each property or scure at all not suitable for dogs (Panels also missing) -Garden centre visitors can on look and park outside.

No privacy - Grass area not fenced off and garden centre visitors can access. -Although dog friendly be aware that you are not allowed to leave your dog alone. ( stated in the T&Cs indicated after the first night stay) however it is impossible to take a dog with you everywhere. -A dog should be allowed to be left for a reasonable amount of time within socialable hours. Any dog will bark at passers-by. Would have thought if it was a major issues the dog was left and causing so much hassle to have received a call or message to return to the property immediately. -Would not recommend for those under 65 and dog owners

    Lytham Windmill Museum

The Lytham Windmill was built in the early 1800s and remained working until 1919 when a storm broke its sails. After years of dereliction it was restored by the local council and opened to the public. It is run by a group of volunteers. The museum is spread over 4 floors of the windmill, and displays historic artefacts about the windmill's life and local history. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. Lytham Green, East Beach, Lytham. FY8 5LD
