    Holiday Cottages in Beaumaris

Beaumaris is a beautiful town on the Isle of Anglesey in Wales. The town’s name derives from French, meaning “beautiful marsh”, and refers to its position on the banks of the Menai Strait. Beaumaris Castle is a World Heritage Site and one of the most impressive fortifications built by King Edward I. It’s well worth a visit, as is the town’s courthouse, which was designed by George Gilbert Scott and is now home to the Beaumaris Castle Visitor Centre.

Beaumaris holiday cottages are the perfect base for exploring this historic town and its surroundings. Choose from a selection of properties, including a large, stone house with sea views, a dog-friendly bungalow close to the beach, and a cosy cottage with an open fire.

What our customers say about their holidays

    • Richard - Verified booking

Property is of a high standard and has a great outlook over the fields and the entertaining lambs.

Everything you could need for a break. However what is not stated in the information is the heating is controlled by owner via Hive. On our first day my wife was cold so I switched the heating to manual following the instructions in the book. at teatime we received the following message from the owner who turned the heating back to his own settings. quote: I've just checked the heating and its on manual. I have it on a schedule/timer. I hope you have not forgotten about it and it's been on 22.5 degrees all day? My reply at 9pm. The thermostat will only trigger the heating system when it falls below the target temperature.I have pulled back the blinds as I do at home to let the sun in to heat it up. As this lovely house is so well insulated the actual temperature is still 22.5 degrees so the heating here has not been on all day. My wife has terminal cancer and I brought her down to see her granddaughter who is at Bangor University. Because of the chemotherapy and other medications she feels cold a lot of the time which is why I set the thermostat to 22 degrees as it is at home. Despite my reply the owner continued to switch it back to his settings each day. I understand the costs have risen for gas but I am sure the cost of staying in the cottage has risen to compensate. My wife was quite upset by all this, so much so that she wanted to go home. What should have been a joyous occasion for my wife was ruined. Thanks Wynne. It should be stated in the description that heating is strictly controlled by owner. We have been to many cottages and never had interference from an owner before. The message about BBQ use reads: feel free to use this but we expect it to be left as clean as you found it! A cleaning charge/fine will be made against you, if it isn't. Perhaps says everything about the owner! Won't be back!!

A really lovely little cottage with everything you need for a stay in Beaumaris. Ideally located with a baker shop at the end of the road for bacon and/or sausage baps in the morning. Easy to park near the cottage (without charge) either on the street outside the cottage or on the adjoining road next to the Gaol. The only time we didn't get a space was when the BBC Antiques Roadshow was in the Castle so there were no spaces anywhere apart from on The Green! A neat and tidy kitchen stocked with all the crockery, cutlery and utensils you need with milk and scones provided on arrival! Lovely touch. A cosy little lounge/diner which is more than ample for 4 adults and a Welsh Terrier. The front bedroom is great, very roomy, plenty of storage space and a comfortable bed. The back bedroom is smaller with a double bed but not much storage space. All in all, a great cottage, fantastic location, walking distance to all parts of the town, clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

Communication with Ffion prior to arrival was excellent.

The property has everything you need to a high specification (after reslising I'd brought a dud charging plug I was relieved to discover a usb socket by the bedside.)We were wowed by the size, it's so spacious! It was warm, spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and considering on a working farm, very peaceful. Four of us, plus 1 dog, stayed for a long weekend with 2 of our group running the Anglesey Half Marathon a convenient 15 minute drive to the start line. The rest of the weekend we filled by exploring all the beauty Anglesey has to offer (helped by fabulous sunshine) all within an hour drive of the cottage. A small supermarket within walking distance if you've forgotten any essentials. Highly recommend staying here, it's so much bigger than it appears in the photos.

This was the perfect cottage for our holiday to Anglesey.

We visited with my parents, two older children and a dog. The cottage was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The weather during our stay was amazing so the views over to the mountains on the mainland was fabulous! The cottage is located on a working farm and is located next to a sheep field. We loved watched the sheep and lambs and they were very curious of us and our dog. The cottage is only a short drive to Beaumaris but there are also some lovely walks directly from the cottage. There is a Morrisons daily less than 5 minutes walk away so very convenient for picking up bits of shopping.

This is a lovely cottage in a great location. Only a short walk to the centre of Beaumaris which has plenty of great pubs, restaurants and cafes. Jolly’s cafe do an excellent coffee and pier house was great for breakfast. We also ate at the Liverpool Arms which was good and the Bull Inn was a lovely pub. Parking near the cottage can be a challenge as we struggled to find any room in the side streets. We did manage to park in the centre on the road which was free as it was out of season. There is also a large car park in the centre which is £6.00 a night.
