About this property

This beautifully renovated, mid-terrace cottage sits down a quiet street, close to the centre of Beaumaris, on the scenic Isle of Anglesey. Boasting character, Georgian features with an enclosed patio, Seagull Cottage is a delightful bolthole to call home whilst exploring this coastal location. Enter a gorgeous sitting room, furnished with plush sofas that invite you to sit quietly with a good book, whilst the crackle of the woodburner gently puts you at ease. Cross over to the kitchen, boasting glimpses of colour and creativity to draw you in, along with a host of handcrafted units, reclaimed shelving and all the mod cons required for home-cooking. On those warm evenings, step out to the enclosed courtyard where sunlight abounds and provides an ideal spot for alfresco dining. There is also an external utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, so you can easily stay on top of your laundry. Whisk away up a stunning Georgia staircase to reach the first floor, where you can get comfortable in the bedrooms, choosing between a sumptuous master bedroom with four-poster king-size or twin, each beautifully furnished with lots of attention to detail. Head to the bathroom and relax in bubbles galore or choose a quick refresh as there is so much to explore. Within a short walk you can reach Beaumaris high street, where you can find a wealth of restaurants and pubs to sample, along with a convenience store for grabbing the essentials. Head to Beaumaris Castle, where you can uncover a fortress of near-perfect symmetry, wander along the pretty seafront and head down the pier, or embark on a Seacoast Safaris- Puffin Island Boat Trips to explore the local wildlife and landscape. Further afield, there is plenty of historic adventure to be had in Caernarfon, including Caernarfon Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Caernarfon Golf Club, and the indoor Beacon Climbing Centre. Choose Seagull Cottage for an excellent escape to Anglesey.

The most beautiful sunrises may be seen in Beaumaris, a well-known ancient town on the Isle of Anglesey that is situated on the Menai Strait and overlooks the Snowdonia mountain range. It is also well-known as a significant hub for sailing, with its Edward I-era mediaeval castle (now a World Heritage site) and Victorian pier, jail, and courthouse. With a long history, Beaumaris still has a lot of its original mediaeval street layout. The town's environment, diversity of architectural styles and eras, variable scale, open spaces, different roofing, and overall quality all play a significant role in the character of the community. In addition to a golf course close by, the town offers a good assortment of stores, eateries, and bars, as well as options for boat trips and fishing. Red Wharf Bay, also known as Traeth Coch (Red Beach), is a sizable bay along the coast that is well-known for its spectacular sunsets. Due to the bay's extreme shallowness, approximately 25 square kilometres (10 square miles) of sand are exposed at low tide, making it safe for swimming, excellent for family outings, fishing, and miles of breathtakingly beautiful hikes. The port of Holyhead, farther away, has frequent ferry connections to Dublin. Beaumaris is a great starting point for seeing Wales because of its ideal location on the south coast of the charming Isle of Anglesey and proximity to the magnificent Snowdonia mountains.

Thoughtfully furnished and equipped by the owners. Would definitely recommend when staying in Beaumaris.

The cottage is small but the most is made of the space and it is furnished and decorated to a high standard. The owner was really helpful when I needed help to understand the workings of the shower. He popped 'round and explained everything to me. As other reviewers have said the stairs are tricky at the top so maybe not suitable for young families. The chocolate cake, milk and Prosecco on arrival were very welcome. Overall the cottage was a good base for our week on Anglesey.
