About this property

The owners have taken great pride in restoring this Grade 2 listed Georgian house in Beaumaris into a stunning luxury apartment. Whilst retaining many of the original features such as the exposed brick and stone walls and the sanded and polished floorboards, the contemporary and quality furnishings gives this apartment a classic look.

The modern kitchen has an oven, hob, fridge with ice compartment, slimline dishwasher, microwave and toaster. There is a dining table and four dining chairs. The living area has a comfortable sofa and chair, window seat, wood burning stove and SMART TV.

There are two double bedrooms one has a king size bed and the other has a double. There is a wet room with shower, loo, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.

The rear private courtyard has garden furniture and there is a front shared courtyard with garden bench.

As with most houses in Beaumaris there is no private parking. The Green parking is very close by and you can purchase daily or weekly tickets.

Tri Raglan Bach is on the ground floor and perfect for those who are not too keen on stairs. Access to the seafront and the town of Beaumaris itself is also on one level. The beach is a short walk away, with crabbing and fishing on the pier, coffee shops, ice cream parlours, independent shops and galleries, and the historic moated castle, gaol and courthouse.

You will find a selection of bars, pubs and restaurants nearby. We can recommend the local bakery for a fine loaf of bread, delicious pies and pasties and, of course, delicious cakes.

If your party is large you could also book Tri Raglan Mawr which sleeps 8 people.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.

It was warm, despite cold March weather, beautifully furnished and well equipped. The location is superb, very close to the sea and to all shops and amenities. Beaumaris is delightful and has exquisite views of the mountains across the Menai Strait.

Really feels like home from home! It’s safe to say that some may complain about the nose level that comes from the property upstairs, particularly later on at night once our little ones were asleep, but we accepted that this is nobody’s fault. Perhaps a little polite notice could be left upstairs to just inform guests that noise can be heard and to just respect the guests below? Cleaners could go a little deeper under beds and around edges - I noticed the floor when plugging something in the spare bedroom was full of dust around edge of bed. Otherwise, the perfect stay! Can’t wait to return next year and as always I’m recommending to others.
