Myself and my husband went for a short break.
The accommodation had everything you need for this. Lots of cooking equipment but no instructions how to use any of it ( we did not use anyway). We took teatowels, soap, shampoo, etc but, this is all provided, even though not listed on itinerary. The description of the accommodation was accurate but nothing to say about steep climb up from road if you are walking. The area itself is beautiful, green an lush, went on some lovely walks but again, a lot of ascending inclines. The farm has a menagerie of animals who all come to say hello, particularly Sylvie the cat and mabel, a new foundland, both indulging in having a fuss. Ceri is lovely, willing to help with anything and full of information about the area. We purchased pork pies from her which were amazing- we bought some home too, along with some goat burgers. Could do with a list of produce and prices left in accommodation as they do not have an actual shop. Tha accommodation is quite compact but enough for 2 people. The shower room/ toilet is right next to bed and you cannot open door properly to get into it. We reported the outside lights not working which Ceri came to look at same morning. The hot tub we only managed to use once because of weather, it was great to ease weary bones but, could do with shelter overhead to enable more use. We had not tried this kind of holiday before but would definitely recommend, would like stay in a cottage next time though. Overall, had a lovely few days in beautiful area.

We decided to spend Christmas away from home this year and booked 1 week away at the Stag Lodge.
We have found a home away from home. Sarah and Andy were super welcoming with both of us and also our fur baby Daisy. Lodge is well equipped and has everything you need inside to feel like home. We got to experience strom Pia on our holiday but the lodge has keept us warm throughout the day and night, enjoyed Christmas movies on Netflix when raining and the wood fired hot tub during the evenings. Absolutely loved the stone build fire area where we made a BBQ everyday. The nature surrounding the lodge is breathtaking and just a lovely sight for the eye when sipping your morning coffee. Inside the lodge you can find loads of ideas to spend your day if you feel like exploring. So looking foward to book Stag lodge in the future. Stag Lodge is wonderful!
So clean and had everything we needed. The prosecco,milk,chocolate & dog treats were a lovely,thoughtful touch. Dog mat and bowls are provided. We took a crate for our puppy and our older dog had her bed and there was still plenty of space in the lodge. Hot tub was lit and heated prior to our arrival. My partner loved the walled fire area,he was in his element and we had a BBQ everyday. Metal chairs provided on the decking area outside,we took our own reclining loungers to use on the grassed area for comfort. Owners were easily contactable and very quick to respond to any queries or issues. Sarah sent very clear instructions on how to reach the property. Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of the beautiful stag lodge and we hope to return.

Beautiful barn conversion, with everything you need, including children's toys/books/games/cards. The log fire is cosy and warm with the free logs from the store shed. There's a garden area with play house and wooden castle, down by the river sits a tree house and badger watch. 200acres of farm land to discover with visits to see the animals. Nestled in the beautiful Welsh countryside this is the perfect place for a quiet family get away. We had a private hot tub and a great games room for all the family. We would return in a heart beat. The hosts were lovely, accommodating and provided home made biscuits on arrival (the shortbread was to die for) thank you.

It was a beautiful lodge, true to pictures in a lovely location with fabulous views that was secluded but not too far from shops and pubs etc. The owners were absolutely fantastic, their hospitality was the best Iâve ever experienced. I was able to message them through the Sykes app about wanting the hot tub a little hotter and they responded almost immediately and came out to turn it up before we had even got back from our day out. We would love to come back here in the summer to spend time relaxing on that wonderful balcony with those views! Thank you to the owners for going the extra mile to make our stay as comfortable as possible!
