From the moment we arrived, we was captivated by the lodge's charm, warmth, and impeccable service. The interior was tastefully adorned with cozy furnishings, blending seamlessly with the rustic ambiance. Every detail, from the crackling fireplace to the softest linens, was thoughtfully chosen to create a truly luxurious retreat. Steve and Jayne were exceptional, displaying genuine warmth and professionalism throughout our stay. Their knowledge of the area was invaluable, as they provided insightful recommendations for exploring the nearby hiking trails, charming villages, and hidden gems that made out visit truly unforgettable.The lodge's amenities were top-notch, catering to every need and desire. If you're seeking an idyllic escape from the chaos of everyday life, this lodge in the heart of the Lake District is an absolute must-visit. Its natural beauty, impeccable service, and attention to detail make it an oasis of serenity that will leave you rejuvenated and longing to return. I had an excellent stay at Beech in Ulverston.
The accommodation is in a fantastic location with all the facilities needed for a short stay. The hot tub was the perfect reward after a long day of walking in the fells with great views across the hills. Iâm sure the outside seating area would be wonderful when the weather is more forgiving but the Pod is comfortable and plenty warm and cozy when itâs windy and wet outside. The cooking facilities were adequate for a few simple home cooked meals and a generously sized fridge is provided for all your fresh supplies. There were some great modern touches like a heated towel rail, USB charge points and fast WIFI. I was travelling on my own but I think two people could be just as comfortable without getting in each otherâs way. If I could have two wishes it would be for a bedside lamp for reading as the main light is a little bright in the evening and some soap in the bathroom would have been nice. All in all though, a great time was had and I would have no hesitation booking again. Thank you for a lovely stay

We stayed here just after the new year.
we really enjoyed our stay in Beech pod. It was modern well equipped and spotlessly clean and the hot tub was amazing. The pods are situated in a peaceful setting with beautiful scenery making our stay very relaxing but it was also a short walking distance to the small town of Ulverston with a good variety of eateries. this is an ideal area for exploring the Lake District or just chilling. Ian and Carol were great hosts and introduced us to some of the farm animals which was a great experience. You can really see the hard work Carol and Ian put in to keep the pods hot tubs and the grounds up to a exceptional high standard. we will hopefully return sometime soon and will be recommending to our friends and family.

Outstanding Mini-moon break @ High Rigg Shepherds Sunset.
Beautifully done & all facilities required to make your stay so comfortable. Very private & the hot tub was such a great relax after a day out.We did struggle to find it at first, but just gave the owner a quick call & he kindly gave us further instructions. A lovely touch was the shepherds pie waiting in the oven and a chilled bottle of fizz. We popped up to Gretna Outlet for some shopping therapy, took a drive to Penrith & then into Pooley Bridge, which is beautiful with easy access to Ullswater. Do not hesitate, if you want a relaxing few days away in beautiful surroundings then please choose this accommodation. Thank you for a wonderful break. Julie & Darren

We stayed at the Beech for 5 nights.
From the day we arrived, Carol has been super helpful and friendly to us. The pod was clean and nicely decorated. It also had all the required utensils in the kitchen. The hot tub is checked by Carol and her team on a daily basis and they kept it nice and clean for us. There are other pods nearby so we didnât feel too isolated but at the same time there was enough privacy to enjoy our trip without worrying about people noticing. The Ulverston town itself is a few minutes drive and Windermere was 40 minutes drive from the pod. Overall, a lovely stay there and would definitely recommend if you like a cozy holiday without the noise of traffic.
