The location is highly praised for its outstanding views and tranquillity. It serves as a great base for exploring Hadrian's Wall and the Lake District, with guests appreciating the serene countryside and proximity to local attractions.
Comfort is a recurring theme, with guests finding the accommodation cosy and the beds comfortable. The presence of a wood burner and the provision of towels, blankets, and dressing gowns for the hot tub contribute to the overall comfort.
The facilities, including the hot tub, wood burner, and well-equipped hut, receive positive feedback. However, a few guests noted limited space for clothes, suggesting a slight deduction in the score for facilities and maintenance.
The thoughtfulness of the hosts is frequently highlighted, with special mentions of the shepherd's pie and bubbly provided on arrival. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

It was everything we wished it could be. The accommodation was well equipped, cosy and comfortable with a lovely bottle of complimentary fizz in the fridge for us to enjoy. The hot tub is the icing on the cake. We did a couple of walks then came back and relaxed in there with a beer and some music whilst our food was cooking in the oven. It was bliss

It was our first time in a âShepherdâs hutâ and we were a little surprised at how compact it was however the outdoor space made up for this with covered and uncovered areas allowing us to fully appreciate the beautiful scenery and ever changing weathers!

It was our second visit and we will definitely be back again next year hopefully with the dogs as well.
