Escape to Cedar Retreat; a delightful two bedroom shepherd's hut nestled within a secluded woodland overlooking open fields in the village of Melmerby in Cumbria. This unique custom-built accommodation consists of two separate huts connected by a beautifully crafted internal corridor.
Cedar Retreat offers guests a spacious open-plan living area, complete with a cosy sitting area boasting a wood burning stove, dining space, and a well-equipped kitchen. The corridor leads to two double bedrooms, and a shared shower room with a walk-in shower. During the summer months, you can open the doors and enjoy al fresco dining on your own decked terrace, with beautiful views of the surrounding woodland.
Additionally, you can enjoy further outdoor seating around a private fire pit and barbecue, perfect for those warmer evenings. Set in the foothills of the North Pennines, considered one of the most beautiful and rural areas in England, Melmerby is situated in the Eden Valley, about 10 miles from the Lake District National Park.

This place was so peaceful, Iâve never felt stress melt alway like I did here. Itâs like staying in a luxury hotel, the towels were extremely soft, the toiletries provided were amazing. The general facilities were great. I canât think of one complaint other than the bugs outside, but what can you when youâre in the middle of a beautiful, beautiful woodland.

Property very clean. In a beautiful secluded woodland peaceful and quiet. Lovely 15 minutes walk to Lovely bakery and cosy pub. Will be back
