On arrival I would suggest a map of the site be available at reception as it took a while finding the Lodge.
Also, having to walk to the lodge to pick up the key and the fob needed to gain access with car was a pain. The lodge was clean and the welcoming basket was a nice touch. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable however, the 2nd bedroom had a matress which was smaller than the base and not to comfortable. The recliner couch looked good on photo's (home from home), but wasn't comfy at all. The back was loose and to far back when upright. I felt like turning it up end to tighten any loose bolt's as I have done with my own. There was an upright vacumm which was empty on first sight but wasn't picking up. I took a closer look and found the pipe and filters totally blocked. I cleared it and washed the filters, although not the best it did pick up. Our stay was relaxing and the weather was good and hot which meant the balcony was very well used and enjoyed. The view of the lake was very nice. It would have been good to have the use of a cantilver umbrella as the deck was in full sun from midday until sunset, also a couple of fans would have given some relief from the heat indoors. These additions would have made are stay perfect. All in all we had a good stay, liked the site with all amenities close by. We would recommend this lodge.

Gorgeous place not overlooked & the lake area is so nice.
lovely & clean & attention to detail inside with nice modern touches, ornaments to make it feel homely & the biggest TV Iâve seen! Spacious, loads of storage & nice little seating area on the deck, which is enclosed for dogs. Good little welcome pack too. You can hear the traffic from the M6 & busy A road, not that it bothered me & it means itâs so easy to get to. Couple of things that I didnât take as I assumed they would be provided is a hairdryer & washing up liquid so we missed those & my daughter was gutted we couldnât get the led lights working around the TV unit as shown on the pictures, couldnât find any details on how to switch these on. itâs a bit of a surprise that the park do not recycle the rubbish, but thatâs on the park. All in all lovely relaxing stay in the lovely lodge & I would return for another visit.

Beautiful lodge with south facing decking, dish washer with dish washer tablets provided, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board.
2 bathrooms were a bonus, ample kitchen space, recliner leather chair, excellent wifi. The mattress on the double bed was so comfortable. It has an onsite bar and restaurant overlooking the lake with a small beach for the kids. 10 minutes drive to Morcambe bay and the little park. Carnforth 5 minutes drive to Aldi or Tesco. The railway is a must to see the museum where brief encounter was filmed. Lots of shops in Morcambe with a nice indoor market (the lamb and mint pies are the best pies we've had). Only 23 minutes to the Lakes district, (we especially love Ambleside). The farm shop a mile away is worth the visit, lots to do for the kids and lovely food in the cafe. We will definitely be returning, it felt like home, thank you for letting us stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it âº

The lodge was very clean and fresh and all furnishings were comfortable and in very good condition.
The rooms were very spacious and the kitchen was lovely with plenty of crockery and utensils. The utility room is a bonus for dog owners, ours slept in there and it was a great space to keep dog paraphernalia. The park is very well kept. We used the swimming pool and again it was very clean. It is quite small and got busy in the adults only morning session. No changing rooms just shower cubicles and toilets. The restaurant opening times were very random so I advise to check with restaurant and book because opening times varied from day to day. Service not great but food was delicious. There is no TV in the twin room contrary to the advert at time when I booked. Good WiFi. We enjoyed our stay and would book the exact same lodge again.
