Booked last minute and was very wary that the Lodge would not be as shown but on arrival it was as advertised.
Easy to find, parking next to lodge and keysafe. Accommodation was fantastic, spotless and very well equipped in every room especially the kitchen. I took a lot of kitchen bits with me but so much was provided. The tea/coffee and washing up things were much appreciated. Lots of leaflets of places to visit of which we did plenty. Central to Ilfracombe and short drive to Combe Martin, Croyde and Woolacombe Bay. We had a fantastic week and would definitely book again if the owners will have us. I am cabin crew and its non-stop flying and this was perfect as no airports involved. We would highly recommend this lodge and Sykes Holidays and look forward to booking again. Absolutely fantastic in every possible way!
Lodge was impeccably clean, grounds are very well maintained, dog field is a total bonus, yes it would have been lovely to have parking by the lodge but it's very clear on booking that parking is in the car park so I find it very unfair that some then mark the place down for that in their review. We actually always book places with parking next to it so this was a risk with my bad health and my husbands liking to moaning but honestly the place was so amazing we didn't care about the parking and we're already planning to book again for next year âºï¸

We felt at home the minute we walked in and we're very sad to leave. The tea, milk and biscuits waiting for us were very welcome especially after a long journey. Beds are very comfortable and cottage is well equipped. The river that runs in front of the cottage is quite noisy to begin with but you very quickly get used to it and it becomes quite therapeutic. The cottage is in a beautiful location and only a short walk to the shops.

We had a fantastic few days stay in this idyllic cottage. The surrounding fields make for a great walk and the overall location is superb for a quick trip to Ilfracombe or Woolacombe. The property itself catered for all our needs and the beds were surprisingly very comfortable (i had some of the best night's sleep in a long time). Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay.

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location right by the river and at the start of the stunning Watersmeet walk. The property was clean and had everything that we needed. On street parking wasn’t a problem and it was only a five minute walk to the beach and ten minutes to the cliff railway to Lynton. We would thoroughly recommend and will be returning!
