We understand that plans are in place tgo onstall wi-fi in the chalets which would be great (unfortunately, we live in an age where you can't escape the need!
). Two nights, the bar wasn't open so I could not get in to do some urgent work, and with no 13amp socket outside of the bar on the decking (and fading light) it was bit inconvenient but i managed. With regards to the chalet, it was great and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hot tap on the wash basin drips/runs unless you have a very strong grip and the wire coating at the head end of the shower is coming away. I am just pointing these out in case you haven't noticed them, but they di not spoil what was a very enjoyable break for us. The staff were so pleasant and welcoming. Thank you. The accommodation is situated on a farm in a very rural location.
Perched on a hill, it has commanding views of the countryside to the south. Nearest shops are about 5 miles away in South Molton. Travel north for about 5 miles and you are in Exmoor. Alan, the owner, is very helpful and will assist wherever possible. The accommodation is compact but well furnished with modern kitchen units, king sized comfy bed, dining table & chairs plus "L" shaped sofa. There is also a small fridge/freezer and microwave. The patio outside has a new A frame picnic table and two comfy garden chairs to relax in. It was a very enjoyable holiday and we will certainly return in future.

Beautiful lodge excellently decorated to a very hi standard, the town was a bit of a walk away and not doable in the dark because of the dark lanes, but we had a car and mainly used the lodge as a base to explore, it was surrounded by countryside which was lovely, very quiet which was also amazing, I would definitely recommend this place, and would certainly stay here again if I was coming back to this area, a credit to the owners

The lodge was beautiful.
There was a welcome box with tea coffee sugar and other small essentials which was a lovely surprise. Surrounding area had amazing views. Staff were so friendly. Our only issue was lack of privacy as we were overlooked by chalets above where ours was and also opposite if they cared to look would see right into our chalet, so privacy was definitely an issue for us.but otherwise a lovely holiday.

Was looking for a dog friendly stay in Devon and found this on the Dog friendly cottages site at a very reasonable price for August.
A nice welcoming on arrival there was fresh milk in your fridge and tea bags and coffee to make a drink. The cabin was very clean and well maintained also with the decking and veranda outside and a closed of field was ideal for the dog, a very nice quiet location only 20min from Ilfracombe and Woolacombe. I would highly recommend and we are looking at going back next year
