We’ve been advised by the National Grid that there is a planned power outage scheduled for Tuesday, 4th November 2025, from 08:30 to 17:00. Unfortunately, this will affect Beach Cove. This essential work is being carried out by the National Grid and is outside of our control. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.Thank you again for your understanding.

Dear guests

We're writing to let you know about a scheduled power outage at Beach cove Coastal resort on Tuesday 24th March 2026, between 9:00am and 4:30pm. This is due to essential infrastructure upgrades being carried out by the National Grid in the local area and, despite our best efforts, the timing is unfortunately outside of our control.

Reception will remain open throughout, though our electronic systems will be offline during this period.

A few things worth doing before the outage begins:

Charge phones, tablets and laptops ahead of time

Prepare any hot drinks or snacks you might need during the day

The silver lining? It's a brilliant excuse for a day out.

Ilfracombe and the North Devon coast have plenty on offer — here are a few ideas to make the most of the day:

Tunnels Beaches — Victorian hand-carved tunnels leading to sheltered tidal pools. Genuinely unique.

The Harbour & Verity — wander the quayside and see Damien Hirst's iconic 66ft statue up close.

South West Coast Path — dramatic cliff walks with stunning views back over Ilfracombe.

Watermouth Castle — rides, a maze and dungeon labyrinths, great for families.

Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park — another cracking family day out just up the road.

Clovelly — one of Devon's most picture-perfect villages, well worth the short drive.

We'd recommend heading out after breakfast and making a proper day of it — you'll be back well in time for the evening with plenty of stories to tell.

We're sorry for any inconvenience this causes and hope it doesn't take the shine off what should be a fantastic break. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to get in touch — our team is on hand to help.
Warm regards, Hoseasons

Great stay at this querky retreat on the side of the cliffs. Great sea views and peaceful. Helpful staff. Steep in places but manageable. Parking not always outside your accommodation and paths can be steep. Easy access to beach and SW coast path though this is very steep up to the hill but worth it for the views at the top. Lovely local pub just next door. Great base to explore the North Devon coastline.

Overall the lodge wasn’t to bad it was clean but is showing signs of wear it needs an update very soon especially the bathroom . But the views are stunning and that more than makes up for it 😊

Larkstone has spectacular views which is undoubtedly the main attraction. The accommodating was showing signs of wear & tear during this last visit & it does need attention. Cleanliness was not to the usual standards & there were several maintenance issues during my stay
